38. Last semester I joined a team of six crazy undergrads who attempted to tackle a challenge of building a supercomputer on the power of three coffee makers. After a lot of late nights, a lot with no sleep, and months of working with software packages I've never heard of before, we managed to set the highest performance record in the history of the competition and come in 2nd overall out of 8 teams.
47. My greatest accomplishment here at UT was to start and finish in the engineering program, even when a lot of my friends that I started with quit. I was tempted many times by the business school, but regardless of how may times I stayed up late, cried and claimed to hate engineering, engineering still has my heart.
49. Work hard now so you don't have to work as hard later.
50. Don't let a few failing grades make you feel inadequate, just work hard to improve and remember that failure makes you appreciate success even more (just don't accept failure).
57. I would consider my induction into the Academic Leaders Hall of Fame as my most significant accomplishment in my college career. It is an award that embodies academic excellence and a dedication to service in your community.
59. Ignorance cannot be an excuse. So know where your resources are (even if that resource is a person or office that knows about every resource)
60. Goal should not just be getting a job…It should be to succeed (You truly need technical and soft skills to succeed in your future position as an engineer)
