2. Issue #1
Causes of school dropout
 Repeating class
 Students dropout because they do not pass the required classes to
move on to next year.
 They cannot get a job until they earn a high school diploma.
 Learning disability
 Students dropout because they cannot handle school while having
disabilities.
 Up to 36% of those with learning disability tend to dropout.
 Feeling left out
 Students dropout because they feel left out from everyone else
during classes.
 Depression also make student give up school.

3. Issue #1
Solutions for school dropout
 Create tutoring class
 Allowing students to have tutoring class that help them with the
required classes can help improve their grades.
 Allow students improve their grade.
 Alternative classes
 Allow students to take an alternative class that can replace the
required courses.
 Students have more chance to graduate.
 Extend dropout age
 Extending dropout age from 16 to 18 allows student to stay in
school longer.
 Reduce overall dropout rate.

4. Issue #2
Causes of teen pregnancy
 Teenage drinking
 Drinking lowers the female teen’s ability to control own impulses
that lead to unexpected pregnancy.
 Up to 3 out of 4 of unexpected pregnancy occurred from drinking.
 Careless parents
 Teens with no guidance from parents are likely to have pregnant
at younger age than average.
 Teen mothers do worst at school because they have to take care
of their child.

5. Issue #2
Solutions for teen pregnancy
 Refrain sexual activities
 Allow teens to refrain from activities that causes both
unexpected and unplanned pregnancy.
 Reduce the number of pregnant teens without any risk.
 Birth control techniques
 Giving teen a broad information about pregnancy allow them to
learn what can cause them to get pregnant.
 Increase the knowledge about what can cause teen pregnancy
and reduces the teen pregnancy rate.

6. Issue #3
Causes of drug use
 Influence of others
 Seeing others using various type of substance can make one
become influenced into using drug.
 Seeing friends using drug is the main influence.
 Boredom
 One use drug so they can be part of other groups or they were
unable to keep themselves occupied with work.
 Mostly happen with high school seniors.
 Misinformation
 Friends who claimed to know about drugs and alcohol usually
give out information that are not true or made up.
 They are entirely avoidable.

Solutions for drug use
 Seek treatment
 Help those who use drugs and see what caused them to be addicted to it
 Social problems and influence are what caused most teens to use drug.
 Support groups
 Joining support group can help addicted ones with their problems and
make them stop using drug
 Narcotics and alcoholic anonymous group help them solve their
problems.
 Avoid the addict
 One will less likely use drug if they are not allowed to go to the place
where they obtained drug.
 Drugs are obtained when one are not in area of ineffective law
enforcement.

8. Issue #4
Causes of bullying
 Uncontrolled emotion
 When one can’t control their emotion they can get out of control
and start relieving it by seeing others feel discomfort.
 Sometimes they can feel bad after they bullied someone.
 Other’s unknown feeling
 Bullies usually don’t know what the victim will feel when they are
being bullied very often.
 The victim may become more violence as they get bullied more
often over time.

9. Issue #4
Solutions for bullying
 Anti-bully club
 Joining an anti-bully club can teach a student what to do when
seeing someone being bullied.
 This can decrease number of bullies because they know there are
bad consequence after them.
 Protection skills
 Teaching students in class how to stand up against bully can
lowers the number of students being bullied everyday.
 They need to have confidence when facing bullies.
