  1. To Do: 27 Do not run and hide when you hear the chant, “AI is coming around the bend.” First, get smart. Techie or not, devote significant time to the study of AI / IA. This should be a personal priority. and it should be launched right now. Techie or not, junior or senior, small company or large, engage in group discussions which examine IA possibilities; these discussions should include customers and vendors. Also, regardless of your rank or area of specialty, make friends—good friends, I’d suggest—with people in the information systems group at your firm. Repeat: Get smart-er today. Not tomorrow.
