RHIT Personal Statement
A little lost paperwork never hurt anyone, right? Unlikely as it may seem and unbeknownst to my
sixth grade self, human error set me upon the path that developed into a defining aspect of my
adolescence: band. After seven years in the program, I am certain that this is where my personal
development into a responsible, competent, and disciplined individual began. Reflecting on all that
goes into the art, from time to blood, sweat and tears, it is clear that the range of skills gained from
participation is both broad and pertinent to life beyond band. First and foremost, multitasking resides
at the very core of anything musical. To begin playing an instrument, one must keep track of

Simultaneously learned is the ability to take constructive criticism gracefully. As rehearsals consist
of staff pointing out mistakes and providing solutions, it follows suit that having a good attitude
about criticism is more productive than causing a scene. Curiously, these discouragements tend to
grow as one progresses in the hierarchy of band. Unfortunately, few band members reach a position
to experience perhaps the most valuable teaching of band: leadership. Section leaders hold many
responsibilities, from emotionally bonding the section to maintaining rehearsal etiquette. Beyond
these management and social skills, emotional strength is procured from handling stress and even
guilt after inadequate performances. In many workplaces, leadership is a highly desirable skill,
demonstrating great social competence and ability to work with others. Along with leadership comes
teaching, something all section leaders must do to some extent. Due to the circumstances of my
section, however, teaching is more commonplace. Lessons that require teaching each season are
often hefty; ones that in attempting to teach, emphasize a teacher's perspective and demonstrate that
a student's benefit is proportional to the effort they invest. Though difficult, requiring both patience
and empathy, teaching is extremely rewarding in terms of seeing student

Clinical Psychology Personal Statement
Personal Statement:
It is no accident that I have chosen Roosevelt University's, MA Clinical Psychology (Counseling
Practice) program. I am particularly interested in Clinical Psychology because it is open to all kinds
of people. A person's mind and its foundation are solely based on solid principals that are both
instilled and what is gathered through our experiences. Psychology attempts to explain the mental
processes and how it affects a person's present and future depositions. It is a gateway to multicultural
sophistication and competence as well as considering every aspect of a person without any
preconception. The MA Clinical Psychology degree will not only provide stability and purpose but
increase opportunities to work with diverse groups of people. It is not a question of cultural
consideration, which comes from a position of power and privilege. It is the matter of appreciating
everyone equally. This...show more content...
I was able to observe the doctor, nursing staff, as well as patients during my visit. It has been
almost a decade, and I still have my legal pad of all the notes I had taken during my rounds with
the doctor. However, one of the things that have stuck with me since was the over use of medication.
My yearning at that point geared me away from psychiatry as I believe there is a better way to treat
people suffering from psychological problems and disorders. In addition, psychology isn't the only
passion of mine. I also studied music. The one thing science cannot duplicate is to understand
musical behavior and musical experiences through the use of Music Psychology. One would agree
that music is extremely therapeutic and can affect ones intelligence, psychological, physiological
and social abilities. Not to mention the power of emotion I receive as a musician. Another reason
why I wish to study clinical

Personal Statement of Cancer Research Interest
Biological sciences have always been the interest of my academic path. Later, in my high school
career it became increasingly clear that oral study was my passion. I have since dedicated my
efforts to becoming a general dentist, however dentistry is not where I would like to settle. I plan to
conduct research of various oral diseases and hopefully provide more insight into the issues that
affect that region of the body.
Cancer research is very necessary considering the number of people who fall victim to the
currently incurable disease. As a biology major my needs for scientific exploration are being met,
however, I'd like to further my knowledge. My goal is to advance in the field of science

Special Education Personal Statement
Personal Statement "A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops." – Henry
B. Adams. For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to play a big part in children's
education, which is why I have decided to enroll for an education course. I believe that educators
have a lifelong impact on their students and on the development of resilience. Thus, I aspire to
inculcate my love for learning into the next generation, by influencing and inspiring children all
through their formal education.
I have distinctly applied for Special Needs Education because special education has always been
what's near and dear to me in the field of education. Being a special education teacher would be an
inevitably rewarding job, in which I get to watch my students grow, as I celebrate their small
breakthroughs and victories with them. These small breakthroughs and victories will improve over
time and turn into giant leaps, which will leave a lasting impact and ultimately change the child's
life. Beyond just educating children with special needs, I aspire to educate the public about
children with special needs and special education. By doing so, I hope to remove any uncertainty
and fear the public has on this group of children. Not only do I want to impart knowledge on these
special children, I also want to advocate for them, which is something that goes...show more content...
I was exposed to a complete range of early childhood studies, all of which solidified my ardent
interest in the field. I also had the opportunity to study a handful of art and humanities subjects,
which have given me a fresh perspective on the world we reside in. By the same token, I will be
able to apply the knowledge gained from my ICT and Multimedia subject in creating a
state–of–the–art medium apt for young children in this era of

Areas of strength that the student has demonstrated throughout the placement.
I feel an increased confidence in my decision making skills is a core practice strength that I have
developed throughout my placement. I feel this has been my biggest achievement in my current
placement, as in my previous placement I did not have the opportunity to have my own case load.
Having my own case load has allowed me to grow in confidence with communicating and engaging
with CALD clients, as well as with being able to sit with a certain level of uncertainty. As all clients
/families present with different levels of complexities, this has allowed me to gain confidence in
obtaining coping and adapting skills. This has made me self–reflect on my own personal beliefs and
values and its impacts it can have on practice; as with all areas of social work there is going to be a

emerging social work identity.
Areas on which to focus future learning. These are areas that the field educator or student considers
necessary for development of competence and confidence, and may include learning in the next
placement (for students on their first placement) or areas to focus on early in the student's
professional career.
Throughout my second half of my placement, my client load increased slightly. I have had the
opportunity to take on a family with complex needs. Through working alongside this

I have 26 years of federal service, 20 in the U.S. Navy and 6 with NGA. During my military career,
I took on the responsibility of developing personnel for operational readiness. For instance, during
one particular assignment as the command watchbill coordinator for non–commissioned officers, I
coordinated a unit proficiency–training workshop for the completion of new command
watchstanding protocols. The workshop saved 9,600 man–hours and qualified 80% watchstanding
personnel in less than two months. I currently attend The George Washington University NGA

Personal Statement: Intellectual Interests
Intellectual Interests Some of my intellectual interests include playing chess, learning about
global climate change, learning new programming languages, solving problems using computers,
and learning about artificial intelligence. Firstly, I have played chess for a few years and I enjoy
the mental stress and challenge of the game. Also, global climate change has interested me
because it may be a serious threat and we have yet to respond to it significantly. I am also
interested in programming and game design. I have programmed in java for about 2 years. Last
year I began developing a driving simulator using unreal engine and virtual reality this past year. I
have loved coding and 3D modeling because it gives me a way to create new and amazing
projects and solve problems I once thought were overly ambitious. The last interested is artificial
intelligence or AI. I am interested in AI because we, as people, will be able to use AI to solve
problems and assist us in many ways. I also know very little about the development of AI, and I
would love to learn more about it. I have chosen the Raikes School...show more content...
I would love to use my technical interests to solve the problems of others and myself.
Programming has always been special to me because it gives me the ability to solve problems I
never thought were possible. Having the ability to solve these problems motivates me to succeed
in life. I am very interested in solving any problems that I feel will impact the world for the better.
This may include helping students on the UNL campus through creating software to solve problems.
Specific problems include the poor structure of the UNL website, the lack of parking space, trouble
forming study groups, etc. Solving these problems would help ease some of the student's troubles
and creating software to combat the problem would be something I would be interested

Clinical Laboratory Science Personal Statement
After discovering my passion for science and math, I pursue a career in Clinical Laboratory Science
with enthusiasm. My desire to study this subject originates from the exciting and rapidly–moving
subject area that is highly relevant to major issues facing society today. Clinical Laboratory
Scientists play a crucial role in the healthcare field; in detection, diagnosis and treatment of disease
in patients. My goal is to be involved in the latest advances in medical research and to constantly be
expanding my knowledge about my field. On top of this goal, Clinical Laboratory Science remains a
challenging, rewarding and inspiring topic that will motivate and shape my career for my entire life.
For as long as I can remember math and science classes fascinated me to no end. Once I started

Personal Statement For Environmental Engineering
Preserving the environment is one of the most critical issues we are facing today. How we act now
will determine the fate of future generations. What really inspired me to consider environmental
engineering as a profession was my Advanced Placement Environmental Science class in high school
– it opened my eyes to global issues such as overpopulation, loss of biodiversity, inefficient energy
sources, irresponsible waste disposal, etc. – and it motivated me to want to do something about it.
What I want to ultimately accomplish in this field of work is facilitate the growth of the use of
renewable energy sources, support responsible population reduction initiatives, and develop
agricultural practices that ensure food and water security for every single person on the planet. The
nature of the work varies depend on what one wants to specialize in. Many engineers work in office
settings (with a great deal of operational record keeping, paperwork, and technical reports), but it
often requires hands–on work and on–site oversight, especially when working in construction,
ecosystem remediation, natural resource cultivation, or waste management. Oftentimes, engineers
work over 40 hours a week in order to meet deadlines and finish all their tasks. On average, daily
face–to–face, email, and telephone communication, and group collaboration with contractors, staff,
and clients are necessary for careers offered to environmental engineers. At the same time,
independent work is emphasized.

I see myself progressing in my field as well as in my education. I find my education challenging
and motivating. I can see many challenges ahead and therefore I am willing to invest my time
learning all the skills and knowledge of my field towards professional advancement. I hoped to be
offered in a management role in 5 years, looking to move on to greater things. I'm prepared to

I will remain a student regardless if it's only part–time to continue my classes. As of right now I am
seeking employment with a company that has growth potential, good benefits, and an excellent
retirement plan. It would be terrific to find a company that will help me to enhance my business
skills while I'm attending DeVry University obtaining my Bachelor's degree.
At this point in my life, I have an obligation to my family to fulfill my duties by paying the bills
with our limited income. These responsibility has taught me a lot about work discipline and family
values. I know with the support around me I can overcome any obstacle with the determination for
success and using helpful resources. Even though my low income status will cause me to take a
sufficient paying job to supplement my family needs. I just want to manage my time efficiently with
my classes and overcome any bounds or obstacles which might await for me in my path to be
successful in the future which lies ahead for me. I pray my strength in the Lord for guidance and
wisdom which will foresee me to have the will and strength to keep thriving each and every day to
pursue my dreams.
Present State – I am unemployed at the present time seeking employment and I have a lot of time on
my hands. The time management is not a issue to me because I spend all the time I want on my
schoolwork.
Desired State – Once I am employed full–time, I hope I can have a set schedule so my school and

Personal Statement: Family Nurse Practitioner
Personal statement: Family Nurse Practitioner
I have always wanted to be a nurse: I do not think there is any task that is as satisfying as treating
a patient physically, psychologically, emotionally and spiritually. I first pursued my LPN, and
immediately I knew I had chosen the right career path. Every day, no matter how tired and weary
I felt at the end of the day, I was invigorated by the sense that I had made a positive change in the
lives of my patients. To build upon my capabilities to help others, I then pursued my RN. I am
currently in an RN–BSN program and hope to begin a graduate program subsequently to become a
family nurse practitioner.
Although I enjoy all facets of nursing, I truly believe that it is in the field of family practice that the
foundation of the nursing process begins. I have seen many patients over the course of my career
without a stable, primary care healthcare provider. Health and wellness begins with day–to–day
habits, and a nurse in family care is uniquely poised to give wellness advice and guidance. Family
nurse practitioners often perform similar functions to physicians: making diagnoses; prescribing
tests and medications; and helping patients over the course of their life trajectories lead more
fulfilling lives. Primary caregiving is truly wellness promotion. It involves not simply healing the
sick, but also reducing the likelihood that patients will become ill. I have seen so many patients with
preventable illnesses that could have

My first exposure to dentistry, out of the chair, came when I began babysitting for a dentist. He
worked on the weekends, and his daughter and I would tag along. Initially I stayed as far away
from the dentist chair as possible, but later, I became curious, and gradually observant. By the time
I reached high school, I was intrigued by every aspect of dentistry. The procedures quickly turned
from one of torment into something more familiar. Coming from a family of engineers and
contractors, I recognized the doctor's instruments because they were similar to tools I had grown up
watching my father use. I began to think of dentistry as performing small scale construction in a
small hole. Performing such intricate procedures while simultaneously utilizing my mind and hands
both excited me and complimented my detail attentive personality. Since my interest first peaked, I
have continued towards my goal to become a dentist, not only through high academic achievement,
but with life experience. I obtained my dental radiography license and worked as a dental assistant
during high school and was provided with the opportunity to observe a variety of dental procedures.
I also gained exposure to the additional responsibilities of a dental professional ranging from the
billing process to dealing with insurance companies. I got a glimpse of the organizational skills
necessary to run a small business. I continued gaining experiences upon entering

Personal Statement In Water Engineering
"The best revenge is massive success." – Frank Sinatra
It may seem wired, but the sense of revenge threw me into the field of water engineering. I spent
most of my childhood outdoors on my father's farm close to a small city in the west of the
province. As a hobby, my father gave me a small part of his farm, where I grew up different crops
with his help. During that time, I enjoyed nothing more than to see the farms green. But those days
did not last long and water scarcity impacted the farm's yield, resulted in water conflicts between
farmers. The whole income of the family depleted and left no choice other than selling the farm and
migrating to the capital of the province for other means of income. During high school when my
classmates were thinking about the major primary branches of engineering such as chemistry,
mechanic and electric for their post–secondary education, I was thinking about a different major. I

courses very much especially my internship in a laboratory where I cooperated a PhD student to
conduct experiments on the hydraulic jump over a rough bed. This event ignited my desire for
doing my own research and advancing my education to the next level. Therefore, I took the Iranian
National Entrance Competition for Master Programs and gained the rank of 23 out of 1710 rivals for

Personal Statement: A Community Analysis
I was born in India to Indian parents and relocated to Japan, where I spent my childhood. Because
of this, I learned Japanese language and culture alongside Malayalam, my mother tongue. While
living in Japan, I picked up on significant cultural values that were repeatedly emphasized. For
one, I began to internalize the value of humility. My father's boss at the time was emblematic of
this trait; despite being the successful CEO of his company, he rode a bicycle to work every
morning. He remained grounded despite having cause to flaunt his riches. I strive to apply this sense
of humility to all aspects of my future medical education and career. I believe I need to practice
humility to learn effectively and meaningfully. As a student, I can practice...show more content...
By building closer relationships with my community and truly understanding their needs, I will be
able to provide better personalized care that addresses their problems and fosters a healthier
lifestyle overall. In these ways, a strong sense of community is beneficial and even crucial. And
while I am grateful for my Japanese upbringing in that regard, I believe it was also a negative factor
at times. In trying to create a tightly–knit community, I found that many times my neighborhood
would exclude unfamiliar people often based on superficial observations. Because of this, my
family had to put in extra amounts of work on top of adhering to cultural norms and speaking the
language fluently. I believe their sense of community would be especially beneficial if it began to
incorporate a desire for inclusivity. I urge them to understand that a strong sense of community is not
founded on being wary those who look different, but rather built around those who share a common
goal in bettering their neighborhood and the livelihood of those

Personal Statement Essay Samples

  • 1. Group Work Personal Statement Examples RHIT Personal Statement A little lost paperwork never hurt anyone, right? Unlikely as it may seem and unbeknownst to my sixth grade self, human error set me upon the path that developed into a defining aspect of my adolescence: band. After seven years in the program, I am certain that this is where my personal development into a responsible, competent, and disciplined individual began. Reflecting on all that goes into the art, from time to blood, sweat and tears, it is clear that the range of skills gained from participation is both broad and pertinent to life beyond band. First and foremost, multitasking resides at the very core of anything musical. To begin playing an instrument, one must keep track of embouchure, fingerings, and...show more content... Simultaneously learned is the ability to take constructive criticism gracefully. As rehearsals consist of staff pointing out mistakes and providing solutions, it follows suit that having a good attitude about criticism is more productive than causing a scene. Curiously, these discouragements tend to grow as one progresses in the hierarchy of band. Unfortunately, few band members reach a position to experience perhaps the most valuable teaching of band: leadership. Section leaders hold many responsibilities, from emotionally bonding the section to maintaining rehearsal etiquette. Beyond these management and social skills, emotional strength is procured from handling stress and even guilt after inadequate performances. In many workplaces, leadership is a highly desirable skill, demonstrating great social competence and ability to work with others. Along with leadership comes teaching, something all section leaders must do to some extent. Due to the circumstances of my section, however, teaching is more commonplace. Lessons that require teaching each season are often hefty; ones that in attempting to teach, emphasize a teacher's perspective and demonstrate that a student's benefit is proportional to the effort they invest. Though difficult, requiring both patience and empathy, teaching is extremely rewarding in terms of seeing student Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Clinical Psychology Personal Statement Personal Statement: It is no accident that I have chosen Roosevelt University's, MA Clinical Psychology (Counseling Practice) program. I am particularly interested in Clinical Psychology because it is open to all kinds of people. A person's mind and its foundation are solely based on solid principals that are both instilled and what is gathered through our experiences. Psychology attempts to explain the mental processes and how it affects a person's present and future depositions. It is a gateway to multicultural sophistication and competence as well as considering every aspect of a person without any preconception. The MA Clinical Psychology degree will not only provide stability and purpose but increase opportunities to work with diverse groups of people. It is not a question of cultural consideration, which comes from a position of power and privilege. It is the matter of appreciating everyone equally. This...show more content... I was able to observe the doctor, nursing staff, as well as patients during my visit. It has been almost a decade, and I still have my legal pad of all the notes I had taken during my rounds with the doctor. However, one of the things that have stuck with me since was the over use of medication. My yearning at that point geared me away from psychiatry as I believe there is a better way to treat people suffering from psychological problems and disorders. In addition, psychology isn't the only passion of mine. I also studied music. The one thing science cannot duplicate is to understand musical behavior and musical experiences through the use of Music Psychology. One would agree that music is extremely therapeutic and can affect ones intelligence, psychological, physiological and social abilities. Not to mention the power of emotion I receive as a musician. Another reason why I wish to study clinical Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Personal Statement Cancer Research Interest Personal Statement of Cancer Research Interest Biological sciences have always been the interest of my academic path. Later, in my high school career it became increasingly clear that oral study was my passion. I have since dedicated my efforts to becoming a general dentist, however dentistry is not where I would like to settle. I plan to conduct research of various oral diseases and hopefully provide more insight into the issues that affect that region of the body. Cancer research is very necessary considering the number of people who fall victim to the currently incurable disease. As a biology major my needs for scientific exploration are being met, however, I'd like to further my knowledge. My goal is to advance in the field of science Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Special Education Personal Statement Personal Statement "A teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his influence stops." – Henry B. Adams. For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to play a big part in children's education, which is why I have decided to enroll for an education course. I believe that educators have a lifelong impact on their students and on the development of resilience. Thus, I aspire to inculcate my love for learning into the next generation, by influencing and inspiring children all through their formal education. I have distinctly applied for Special Needs Education because special education has always been what's near and dear to me in the field of education. Being a special education teacher would be an inevitably rewarding job, in which I get to watch my students grow, as I celebrate their small breakthroughs and victories with them. These small breakthroughs and victories will improve over time and turn into giant leaps, which will leave a lasting impact and ultimately change the child's life. Beyond just educating children with special needs, I aspire to educate the public about children with special needs and special education. By doing so, I hope to remove any uncertainty and fear the public has on this group of children. Not only do I want to impart knowledge on these special children, I also want to advocate for them, which is something that goes...show more content... • 5. Areas of strength that the student has demonstrated throughout the placement. I feel an increased confidence in my decision making skills is a core practice strength that I have developed throughout my placement. I feel this has been my biggest achievement in my current placement, as in my previous placement I did not have the opportunity to have my own case load. Having my own case load has allowed me to grow in confidence with communicating and engaging with CALD clients, as well as with being able to sit with a certain level of uncertainty. As all clients /families present with different levels of complexities, this has allowed me to gain confidence in obtaining coping and adapting skills. This has made me self–reflect on my own personal beliefs and values and its impacts it can have on practice; as with all areas of social work there is going to be a certain levels of uncertainty, I feel this is has been a valuable learning tool that will contribute to my emerging social work identity. Areas on which to focus future learning. These are areas that the field educator or student considers necessary for development of competence and confidence, and may include learning in the next placement (for students on their first placement) or areas to focus on early in the student's professional career. Throughout my second half of my placement, my client load increased slightly. I have had the opportunity to take on a family with complex needs. • 6. Military Personal Statement Examples I have 26 years of federal service, 20 in the U.S. Navy and 6 with NGA. During my military career, I took on the responsibility of developing personnel for operational readiness. For instance, during one particular assignment as the command watchbill coordinator for non–commissioned officers, I coordinated a unit proficiency–training workshop for the completion of new command watchstanding protocols. The workshop saved 9,600 man–hours and qualified 80% watchstanding personnel in less than two months. I currently attend The George Washington University NGA Cohorts Systems Engineering Program to obtain a masters in systems engineering, and have applied the knowledge and skills I have learned into practice. • 7. Personal Statement: Intellectual Interests Intellectual Interests Some of my intellectual interests include playing chess, learning about global climate change, learning new programming languages, solving problems using computers, and learning about artificial intelligence. Firstly, I have played chess for a few years and I enjoy the mental stress and challenge of the game. Also, global climate change has interested me because it may be a serious threat and we have yet to respond to it significantly. I am also interested in programming and game design. I have programmed in java for about 2 years. Last year I began developing a driving simulator using unreal engine and virtual reality this past year. I have loved coding and 3D modeling because it gives me a way to create new and amazing projects and solve problems I once thought were overly ambitious. The last interested is artificial intelligence or AI. I am interested in AI because we, as people, will be able to use AI to solve problems and assist us in many ways. I also know very little about the development of AI, and I would love to learn more about it. I have chosen the Raikes School...show more content... I would love to use my technical interests to solve the problems of others and myself. Programming has always been special to me because it gives me the ability to solve problems I never thought were possible. Having the ability to solve these problems motivates me to succeed in life. I am very interested in solving any problems that I feel will impact the world for the better. This may include helping students on the UNL campus through creating software to solve problems. Specific problems include the poor structure of the UNL website, the lack of parking space, trouble forming study groups, etc. Solving these problems would help ease some of the student's troubles and creating software to combat the problem would be something I would be interested Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 9. Personal Statement For Environmental Engineering Preserving the environment is one of the most critical issues we are facing today. How we act now will determine the fate of future generations. What really inspired me to consider environmental engineering as a profession was my Advanced Placement Environmental Science class in high school – it opened my eyes to global issues such as overpopulation, loss of biodiversity, inefficient energy sources, irresponsible waste disposal, etc. – and it motivated me to want to do something about it. What I want to ultimately accomplish in this field of work is facilitate the growth of the use of renewable energy sources, support responsible population reduction initiatives, and develop agricultural practices that ensure food and water security for every single person on the planet. The nature of the work varies depend on what one wants to specialize in. Many engineers work in office settings (with a great deal of operational record keeping, paperwork, and technical reports), but it often requires hands–on work and on–site oversight, especially when working in construction, ecosystem remediation, natural resource cultivation, or waste management. Oftentimes, engineers work over 40 hours a week in order to meet deadlines and finish all their tasks. On average, daily face–to–face, email, and telephone communication, and group collaboration with contractors, staff, and clients are necessary for careers offered to environmental engineers. At the same time, independent work is emphasized. Get more content on HelpWriting.net

I can see many challenges ahead and therefore I am willing to invest my time learning all the skills and knowledge of my field towards professional advancement. I hoped to be offered in a management role in 5 years, looking to move on to greater things. I'm prepared to learned new things and contribute to the overall success of the organization in a number of ways. As of right now I am seeking employment with a company that has growth potential, good benefits, and an excellent retirement plan. It would be terrific to find a company that will help me to enhance my business skills while I'm attending DeVry University obtaining my Bachelor's degree. At this point in my life, I have an obligation to my family to fulfill my duties by paying the bills with our limited income. These responsibility has taught me a lot about work discipline and family values. I know with the support around me I can overcome any obstacle with the determination for success and using helpful resources. Even though my low income status will cause me to take a sufficient paying job to supplement my family needs. I just want to manage my time efficiently with my classes and overcome any bounds or obstacles which might await for me in my path to be successful in the future which lies ahead for me. I pray my strength in the Lord for guidance and wisdom which will foresee me to have the will and strength to keep thriving each and every day to pursue my dreams. • 11. Personal Statement: Family Nurse Practitioner Personal statement: Family Nurse Practitioner I have always wanted to be a nurse: I do not think there is any task that is as satisfying as treating a patient physically, psychologically, emotionally and spiritually. I first pursued my LPN, and immediately I knew I had chosen the right career path. Every day, no matter how tired and weary I felt at the end of the day, I was invigorated by the sense that I had made a positive change in the lives of my patients. To build upon my capabilities to help others, I then pursued my RN. I am currently in an RN–BSN program and hope to begin a graduate program subsequently to become a family nurse practitioner. Although I enjoy all facets of nursing, I truly believe that it is in the field of family practice that the foundation of the nursing process begins. I have seen many patients over the course of my career without a stable, primary care healthcare provider. Health and wellness begins with day–to–day habits, and a nurse in family care is uniquely poised to give wellness advice and guidance. Family nurse practitioners often perform similar functions to physicians: making diagnoses; prescribing tests and medications; and helping patients over the course of their life trajectories lead more fulfilling lives. Primary caregiving is truly wellness promotion. It involves not simply healing the sick, but also reducing the likelihood that patients will become ill. I have seen so many patients with preventable illnesses that could have Get more content on HelpWriting.net

I have also realized the progress and success that I enjoy in the same capacity as the frontiers of medicine, technology and communication continue to expand. My first exposure to dentistry, out of the chair, came when I began babysitting for a dentist. He worked on the weekends, and his daughter and I would tag along. Initially I stayed as far away from the dentist chair as possible, but later, I became curious, and gradually observant. By the time I reached high school, I was intrigued by every aspect of dentistry. The procedures quickly turned from one of torment into something more familiar. Coming from a family of engineers and contractors, I recognized the doctor's instruments because they were similar to tools I had grown up watching my father use. I began to think of dentistry as performing small scale construction in a small hole. Performing such intricate procedures while simultaneously utilizing my mind and hands both excited me and complimented my detail attentive personality. Since my interest first peaked, I have continued towards my goal to become a dentist, not only through high academic achievement, but with life experience. I obtained my dental radiography license and worked as a dental assistant during high school and was provided with the opportunity to observe a variety of dental procedures. I also gained exposure to the additional responsibilities of a dental professional ranging from the billing process to dealing with insurance companies. • 13. Personal Statement In Water Engineering "The best revenge is massive success." – Frank Sinatra It may seem wired, but the sense of revenge threw me into the field of water engineering. I spent most of my childhood outdoors on my father's farm close to a small city in the west of the province. As a hobby, my father gave me a small part of his farm, where I grew up different crops with his help. During that time, I enjoyed nothing more than to see the farms green. But those days did not last long and water scarcity impacted the farm's yield, resulted in water conflicts between farmers. The whole income of the family depleted and left no choice other than selling the farm and migrating to the capital of the province for other means of income. During high school when my classmates were thinking about the major primary branches of engineering such as chemistry, mechanic and electric for their post–secondary education, I was thinking about a different major. This event ignited my desire for doing my own research and advancing my education to the next level. Therefore, I took the Iranian National Entrance Competition for Master Programs and gained the rank of 23 out of 1710 rivals for Agricultural Engineering–Hydraulic Structures program in 2008. • 15. Personal Statement: A Community Analysis I was born in India to Indian parents and relocated to Japan, where I spent my childhood. Because of this, I learned Japanese language and culture alongside Malayalam, my mother tongue. While living in Japan, I picked up on significant cultural values that were repeatedly emphasized. For one, I began to internalize the value of humility. My father's boss at the time was emblematic of this trait; despite being the successful CEO of his company, he rode a bicycle to work every morning. He remained grounded despite having cause to flaunt his riches. I strive to apply this sense of humility to all aspects of my future medical education and career. In these ways, a strong sense of community is beneficial and even crucial. And while I am grateful for my Japanese upbringing in that regard, I believe it was also a negative factor at times. In trying to create a tightly–knit community, I found that many times my neighborhood would exclude unfamiliar people often based on superficial observations. Because of this, my family had to put in extra amounts of work on top of adhering to cultural norms and speaking the language fluently. I believe their sense of community would be especially beneficial if it began to incorporate a desire for inclusivity. I urge them to understand that a strong sense of community is not founded on being wary those who look different, but rather built around those who share a common goal in bettering their neighborhood and the livelihood of those Get more content on HelpWriting.net

My experiences within the healthcare system and academic setting have trained me to be persistent and dedicated; it has primed me to become a fighter, and advocate in the pharmacy profession, for those who might not have the resolve. When I was a toddler, I refused to walk. My parents scheduled me to visit doctor after doctor, exhausting all of our resources, only receiving new prescriptions to try without any diagnoses.
