  1 - 4 July 2010

51 young entrepreneurs from across Europe are competing for
the title of winner of JA-YE EUROPE ENTERPRISE CHALLENGE
2010, hosted by Junior Achievement Bulgaria

The JA-YE EUROPE ENTERPRISE Challenge 2010 brings together
the best student companies at the post-secondary level (aged 18-
30) from all across Europe.

At this event, the national winners of all participating countries will
proudly present the results of their young companies. During the
stay in Bulgaria they will meet and compete with students from 10
European countries.

The enterprising students have all been running a JA-YE company
through the ‘Graduate Programme’ as part of their higher education
courses. Their mission was to develop viable and sustainable
business ideas with real investment potential. They have each
received the support of their professors as well as guidance from
volunteers from the business world. Each group has developed a
company that offers real marketable products and/or services and
they have all successfully dealt with the challenges of setting up and
running a business. The financing of the enterprise and attracting
investors are the key points.

13 teams, representing a wide range of industry areas, will arrive
in Sofia (Bulgaria) and for two exciting days their challenge will be
to sell their idea to a panel of potential “investors”, each of whom
has a fictional 50000€ to spend. Their investment proposals target
potential investors by outlining their strategy, projecting return
on investment and a risk analysis. The teams will each make a
public presentation showcasing their business idea and they will
each then pitch their enterprises to experts from industry who will
probe deeper into the proposals and challenge the students with
questions. There will also be an exhibition of the companies where
the public and judges can visit each stand.

THE WINNER OF THE JA-YE EUROPE ENTERPRISE CHALLENGE 2010 WILL BE
ANNOUNCED AT THE AWARD CEREMONY AND DINNER ON JULY 2ND.

                   BELGIUM FLEMISH - FACITO

FaCito is a dynamic Belgian Junior Achievement
company, founded by five construction students at
XIOS University College Limburg. They have devel-
oped and commercialised the FFast, an innovative
type of clamp to clamp doors, panels, plasterboards, floor tiles and the
like automatically. The FFast is a useful device for
e.g. building contractors, construction site workers,
painters, carpenters, woodworkers, and do-it-your-
self enthusiasts. The construction students have
sold their first lot of finished products and, doing so,
have pleased their shareholders with a 59% in-
crease in share value, within six months' time.

                   BELGIUM FRENCH - SENSAQUA

Today water is becoming rarer and rarer. Its
consummation increases to satisfy our needs and
reserves diminish every year. Very soon, water
will no longer be "free".
In our society, our way of life leads to major stress. And therefore,
the demand in services of relaxation is very strong.
To perfect your quality of life and offer you every day relaxation,
stimulation and inspiration, while doing something for environ-
ment, we have developed a new product: the ECOSMOSE bathtub.
ECOSMOSE can spare you a large amount of water: its consum-
mation is reduced by 30 %. Ecological, with
an ergonomic shape, ECOSMOSE is equally
accessible to your baby, thanks to a specific
and removable separation. Plus, ECOSMOSE is
available in different colours, equipped with an
interchangeable and personalized chair and,
in a concern of standardization, SENSAQUA has also developed an
ECOSMOSE washbasin.

                                                      1 - 4 July 2010

Our product is accessible to a very large public. We principally
target young and active couples aged between 25 and 40 years
old, in research for unwinding and caring for sustainable devel-
opment. This is why, with the desire to break new ground in the
field of the baththub market, SENSAQUA created ECOSMOSE : an
  eco-innovated bath.

                   THE NETHERLANDS – GREENY GAMES

Greeny Games thinks it’s important that the
young generation quickly learns how to treat the
environment. It is a fact that children learn the
most by playing games and this is what Greeny
Games has used as key point for their product. Greeny Games has
developed an educational game with the environment and clean
energy as its topic. The game ‘Greeny’ is aimed at children between
the ages of 8 and 12. By collecting the different resources points can
earned and with these resources, energy can be produced. Sustain-
able and environmentally friendly energy will give the player a lot
of points and environmentally unfriendly energy will give the player
less or even minus points. This way the children will learn about the
difference between ‘good’ and ‘bad’ energy.

Greeny Games is a student company which has a clear focus on the
environment as can be seen in an array of their day-to-day op-
erations. The product is made of environmentally
friendly materials: recycled paper, recycled plastic
and recycled cardboard. Greeny Games also consid-
ered the size of the product and kept it as small as
possible so that packaging material would be saved
and that the product could be sent through the
already existing distribution infrastructure like the
normal postal service.

                    NORWAY – SESO

“SESO deliver solutions that increase profitability for
stores within the retail and merchandising industry.
By measuring both customer satisfaction and em-
ployee satisfaction in the store we identify problem areas. On the basis
of the measurements we implement improvement
actions in the store, which will increase the cus-
tomer experience. This will improve the customer
loyalty, resulting in higher profitability for the store.”

JA YE Enterprise Challenge 2010 3 1 - 4 July 2010 51 young entrepreneurs from across Europe are competing for the title of winner of JA-YE EUROPE ENTERPRISE CHALLENGE 2010, hosted by Junior Achievement Bulgaria The JA-YE EUROPE ENTERPRISE Challenge 2010 brings together the best student companies at the post-secondary level (aged 18- 30) from all across Europe. At this event, the national winners of all participating countries will proudly present the results of their young companies. During the stay in Bulgaria they will meet and compete with students from 10 European countries. The enterprising students have all been running a JA-YE company through the ‘Graduate Programme’ as part of their higher education courses. Their mission was to develop viable and sustainable business ideas with real investment potential. They have each received the support of their professors as well as guidance from volunteers from the business world. Each group has developed a company that offers real marketable products and/or services and they have all successfully dealt with the challenges of setting up and running a business. The financing of the enterprise and attracting investors are the key points. 13 teams, representing a wide range of industry areas, will arrive in Sofia (Bulgaria) and for two exciting days their challenge will be to sell their idea to a panel of potential “investors”, each of whom has a fictional 50000€ to spend. Their investment proposals target potential investors by outlining their strategy, projecting return on investment and a risk analysis. The teams will each make a public presentation showcasing their business idea and they will each then pitch their enterprises to experts from industry who will probe deeper into the proposals and challenge the students with questions. There will also be an exhibition of the companies where the public and judges can visit each stand. THE WINNER OF THE JA-YE EUROPE ENTERPRISE CHALLENGE 2010 WILL BE ANNOUNCED AT THE AWARD CEREMONY AND DINNER ON JULY 2ND.

  • 8. 8 JA YE Enterprise Challenge 2010 1 - 4 July 2010 THE NETHERLANDS – GREENY GAMES Greeny Games thinks it’s important that the young generation quickly learns how to treat the environment. It is a fact that children learn the most by playing games and this is what Greeny Games has used as key point for their product. Greeny Games has developed an educational game with the environment and clean energy as its topic. The game ‘Greeny’ is aimed at children between the ages of 8 and 12. By collecting the different resources points can earned and with these resources, energy can be produced. Sustain- able and environmentally friendly energy will give the player a lot of points and environmentally unfriendly energy will give the player less or even minus points. This way the children will learn about the difference between ‘good’ and ‘bad’ energy. Greeny Games is a student company which has a clear focus on the environment as can be seen in an array of their day-to-day op- erations. The product is made of environmentally friendly materials: recycled paper, recycled plastic and recycled cardboard. Greeny Games also consid- ered the size of the product and kept it as small as possible so that packaging material would be saved and that the product could be sent through the already existing distribution infrastructure like the normal postal service.
