2. Touring the Country
Welcome to a tour about unique fields around the country. First
we travel to Boston, Massachusetts and see one of the oldest
baseball fields. Then after we move onto where kids dreams
come true at Williamsport, Pennsylvania at the Little League
World Series. We then move into the Northwest and visit
Boise, Idaho's very special “Blue and Orange Broncos.” After
viewing potato country we go down to Baltimore, Maryland
and take a look at M&T stadium, home to the NFL team
Baltimore Ravens. Our final stop is Monmouth, Oregon, where
Western Oregon University is it’s main popularity. We visit the
very famous baseball field where a dozen league
championships have been won.
3. Fenway Park
Fenway is a baseball park
near Kenmore Square in
Boston, Massachusetts. It is
home to the Boston Red Sox
ever since it opened in 1912
and is the oldest Major
League Baseball stadium in
use.
The park is very famous for
Its tall left field wall also
known as the “Green
Monster.” Another fun fact is
that it cannot accomdate
40,000 fans which makes it
easy to sell out. GO BOSTON!!
4. Field of Dreams
Little leaguers from all over
the country meet in
Williamsport, Pennsylvania
every year to compete to see
who is the best in the world.
It is a tournament from kids
ages 11-13 year olds. It was
first held in 1947 and has
never stopped since. The
tournament is held every
August and last for about
seven days.
5. The Blue and Orange
The only colored turf in
whole country. It is home
to the Boise State
Broncos. The field is
located near downtown
Boise, Idaho.
The turf was added in the
summer of 2002. It is
also the number one
watched sport in Boise.
6. M&T Bank Field
This field is home to the Baltimore Ravens in the National Football League.
It is located in Baltimore, Maryland. M&T Bank stadium officially opened in
1998, and is very well known for their dedicated fans and their hard hitting
defense.
7. Western Oregon
University Baseball Field
The field is located in
Mounmouth, Oregon and
is also home to the
wolves. WOU is wellknown for their hard
working baseball team.
The field has turf only on
the infield because of the
amount of rain it gets.
