L:So often, though, we don’t want to give You credit for Your goodness. We want to take credit for ourselves; thinking ourselves great and taking too much pride in our accomplishments. But without You we are dead in our sins and can accomplish nothing of value.

C: You alone are God, and You alone deserve the credit for all things good. Forgive us for thinking too much of ourselves. Forgive us for thinking too little of You. Forgive us for not worshiping You and giving You all credit and glory as You deserve. silence for personal prayers of repentance

L: God is great; great in power and great in grace. When the perfect world He created was lost in sin, He appointed His only Son to be its Savior; to be your Savior. By Jesus’ life and death in your place, your sins are forgiven. You are free from sin’s guilt and power.
