9. Comprehensive Assessment System
A variety of assessments will be used to
achieve the above goals:
– Formative – Measures the degree to which
students are able to do a task. Informs instruction.
– Summative – Culminating effort of
mastery; such as end of unit exams to
evaluate systems and programs.
– Screening – to facilitate student placement efforts,
such as; multiple measures by student files.
– Diagnostic – to identify specific academic
difficulties, such as Woodcock Munoz.
