5. OBJECTIVES
• To find out which car colours are the most and
least popular among UBD-ians
• To find out which car brands are the most and
least popular among UBD-ians
• To find out what UBD-ians think of the car-parks
in UBD

12. QUESTIONNAIRES’ GRAPHS AND
CHARTS
A total of 150 questionnaires were given out among the UBDians. 87 out of
150 are male participants and the rest (63) are female participants. The age
range is shown below:

13. We also want to find out whether they own driving licenses or not that are
included in the questionnaires. Out of 150 participants, 133 own driving licenses
while 17 participants still do not own driving licenses. In addition, the bar graph
below shows how many of the total UBDians are driving to school by
themselves, being sent by their parents and others; such as using
buses, motorcycles or walking (hostel students)

14. Next we want to find out where UBDians usually park. The results
are shown below:

15. Lastly, we want to find out what they think about the car-parks in
UBD. Are they safe? Are they convenient? Are the parking spaces
enough? The results to the questions are shown on the bar graph
below:

16. From the survey that we have conducted on
the primary buildings in UBD
(FOS, ICTC, FASS,FBEPS) we found that the
most common car colour among UBDians is
Silver, followed by White and Black. While the
least common car colour is Pink, followed by
Purple and Yellow

17. We also found that the most common
car brand among UBDians is
Toyota, followed by Nissan and
Suzuki. While the least common car
brands are Mini Cooper and
Renault, followed by Volvo

18. Lastly, from the results of the
questionnaires, we found that
many UBDians think that the car
parks are space-limited and some
of them think that the car parks are
too far from their faculties

19. Most UBDians prefer cool-coloured cars eg:
silver, black and white and only some UBDians prefer
striking-coloured cars eg: pink, purple and yellow
Most UBDians prefer affordable car brands eg:
Toyota, Nissan and Suzuki instead of expensive car
brands eg: Mini Cooper, Renault, Volvo, BMW and
Mercedez
Most UBDians particularly students are unsatisfied
with the car-parks in UBD

20. These are recommendations given by UBDians who
answered the questionnaires:
• Provide more parking spaces
• Provide shady car-parks
• Provide basement parking and encourage the use of
parking tickets
• Improve the ‘desert’ like car-park at the IBM building
• Provide multiple-storeyed car-parks
• Provide shuttle buses
• CCTV cameras should be installed at car-parks
• Improve the IBM car-park (‘parking batu’)
• Provide the use of LRT/MRT
