PROGRAMS
Manage credit recovery programs by facilitating course enrollment
processes, conducting site visits, implementing mentor
training, communicating with school administration and online teachers, and
monitoring student achievement
JOB FUNCTION
Monitor Program
Research the requirements each student needs to complete
Communicate frequently with students, teachers and parents (goals, successes,
needs, submitted work completed)
-Use technology tools to do this.
Climate
Build a climate of caring and collegiality among staff and students
Development an environment of trust
Build a team
Model/Coach
Good digital citizenship
Effective online instruction
ACTION
Teachers
Help teachers to help students identify their learning styles.
Help teachers help students to identify their strengths and
weaknesses.
Provide the professional development opportunities teachers need to address
student needs in this unique learning environment.
Provide teachers the technology training they need to teach in the online learning
environment
Provide mentoring opportunities – including coaching and peer evaluation (I.e.
Penn State project: online professors peer evaluate each others courses)
Serve as a model for teachers

  • 2. Manage credit recovery programs by facilitating course enrollment processes, conducting site visits, implementing mentor training, communicating with school administration and online teachers, and monitoring student achievement JOB FUNCTION
