Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in Europe for males
• Each year 417.000 men in Europe are diagnosed with prostate cancer
• 1 in 7 men in Europe will develop prostate cancer before the age of 85
• More than two million men living with prostate cancer
• 92.200 European men die of the disease every year
• The yearly costs of PCa in Europe is over 9 billion euros

Health care burden of PCa is expected to
increase dramatically the coming years in
Europe:
• Ageing society will lead to higher
incidence and thus prevalence
• As a result the costs related to
PCa will increase significantly
• The decreasing mortality rate from
PCa has come to a stop
Now is the time to give Prostate Cancer Care priority at EU level!
