What is the importance of a business reputation? The reason is that people do not trust companies 
that do not have good reputations. A good reputation will garner you more customers and more 
money. If you would like to give your business a great reputation, read this piece. 
Be personable online. Simply posting updates won't do a lot; you have to show active communication 
with your customers. If anyone makes an inquiry on your social media page, make sure you respond 
right away. If you do not know the answer to a question, let them know that you're in the process of 
getting an answer. 
Keep your reputation up by making unsatisfied customers happy. If you show you care, their 
negative experience will become positive. If you can do this online, better yet. Fellow customers will 
witness your response to the unhappy client and develop a willingness to trust you down the road. 
A great way to build up your reputation is to optimize your web page for critical key phrases. It 
starts with the name of your company. Google places a high priority on authoritativeness. When your 
business is seen as an authority, then search engines like Google will bump you to a higher standing 
in the results. 
Keep up on your social network activities. Most of people's knowledge come from social media 
today. Always reply to comments promptly, within a few hours if possible. Since many companies 
take a while to respond, this will help you stand out. 
Make sure that you stay current on news that relates to your industry. This can help you keep your 
customers up to date too. Take a several minutes daily to scour the online sources for new facts 
about the industry you're in. 
Your online presence is something to always be aware of. It only takes one negative review to hurt 
your business. Checking the results on a search engine will allow you to keep negative things from 
going to the top. Try this at least twice a month. 
If you own your own business, be sure you're treating employees with some respect. Many business 
people do not pay strict attention to this area of their business, and in the end it can really do a lot of 
harm. If others spread the word that you aren't a good boss, then a lot of potential customers might 
refuse to have anything to do with your business. 
If you offer a private deal or promotion, make sure the word doesn't get out. Especially if it was to 
satisfy a disgruntled customer. Complaints will flow in if you offer people incentive to complain. 
Always show up where your customers will be found. If they frequent specific restaurants or some 
other location, go there often. By going where your customers are, you can learn about them better 
and provide better services. Your customers may feel comfortable chatting with you and then will 
turn to you with their needs in the future. 
The backbone of company is the reputation it carries. If your reputation is sub-par, you will not
