The battle was between Catalan/Austrian and French/Castilians. Young men recruited to fight with the Republican Army were there. Why did it happen? The battle was part of a war to decide who would be the next king of Spain. The base was necessary to prepare men for fighting. When did it happen? The battle took place in 1711. The base was created in the spring of 1938, towards the end of the Spanish civil war. Where in Anoia county did it happen? Els Prats de Rei. The camp is located in Pujalt.
