6. The Development, Relief, and Education for
Alien Minors Act
It is a bipartisan legislation that will provide children that
were brought into this country illegally with the opportunity
to go to college and become permanent residents.
Each year about 65,000 U.S.–raised students who would
qualify for the DREAM Act’s benefits graduate from high
school.
That means that within a span of our four college years
260,000 high school graduates have not been able to
pursue their post-secondary education.
