Sales Engineer
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Supporting Windstream Communications in the acquisition,
growth, and retention of revenue by leading all technical issues relating to the sale, installation, performance
and reliability of Windstream Products and Services; provide direct technical sales support for Windstream
direct sales, dealer sales, and Account Management channel sales organizations; Assist sales account
executives of all sales channels in pre-sales and post-sales activities with regards to Windstream products and
services; including analyzing customer needs and presenting solutions, technical support on RFPs/RFIs,
technical sales presentations, new product training, local sales office technical specialist, support of
Windstream third party installation organization, funnel customer needs back to Windstream marketing for new
product evaluation; Complete all functions in a timely l manner, both internal and external to Windstream,
including applicable status reports, project plans, administrative and customer related; adhere to Windstream
budget, practices and procedures.
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Windstream products and services; Provide direct technical sales
support for Windstream direct sales, dealer sales, and aftermarket sales organizations;
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the telecommunications industry, product and service offerings; Assist
sales Account Executives of all sales channels in pre-sales activities with regard to Windstream products and
services;
Assist in the roll-out of new products and marketing initiatives to Windstream Account Executives; Provide
technical review and approval for proposals presented to Windstream customers including evaluation of
customers current services, CPE, fit of Windstream’s products and services, and proposal generation;
understand a customer’s network and design; Participate, as designated by Account Executives, in the
presentation of Windstream products and service demonstrations to customers during sales calls; Analyze
customer needs and present solutions, technical support on RFPs/RFIs, technical sales presentations, new
product training, local sales office technical specialist, funnel customer needs back to Windstream marketing
for new product evaluation; Communicate and build positive relations with Vendors and communicate
Windstream’s expectations for sales opportunities and pre installation requirements; Handles all deadlines on
or ahead of schedule; possess strong verbal and written skills; Maintains close contact with sales, service, and
management personnel.

XO Communications Inc.

Technical Sales Consultant/Sales Engineer, Miami, Fl.
Assist on sales calls to help explain and sell XO services.
Coordinate and process orders for implementation of services and equipment.
Define the customer’s application needs and assist in information gathering. Understand and interpret LEC
bills, customer service records, and network diagrams. Process XO National Forms by checking technical
details of each prospects site origin. Create Facility Order in provisioning system for Local Services. Project
coordinate orders placed in the system for timely install. Communicate between departments to implement
service correctly. Coordinated and research information for Move, Add and Change orders for existing XO
accounts.

Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Windstream products and services; Provide direct technical sales support for Windstream direct sales, dealer sales, and aftermarket sales organizations; Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the telecommunications industry, product and service offerings; Assist sales Account Executives of all sales channels in pre-sales activities with regard to Windstream products and services; Assist in the roll-out of new products and marketing initiatives to Windstream Account Executives; Provide technical review and approval for proposals presented to Windstream customers including evaluation of customers current services, CPE, fit of Windstream’s products and services, and proposal generation; understand a customer’s network and design; Participate, as designated by Account Executives, in the presentation of Windstream products and service demonstrations to customers during sales calls; Analyze customer needs and present solutions, technical support on RFPs/RFIs, technical sales presentations, new product training, local sales office technical specialist, funnel customer needs back to Windstream marketing for new product evaluation; Communicate and build positive relations with Vendors and communicate Windstream’s expectations for sales opportunities and pre installation requirements; Handles all deadlines on or ahead of schedule; possess strong verbal and written skills; Maintains close contact with sales, service, and management personnel.
