Make sure there's a clear relationship between mid values, dark values and light values. Keep painting as long as necessary, control the center of attention through contrast. Every mark helps tells the story. GOALS This exercise will increase your intimacy with brushwork, The etiquette of painting And the true challenges involved In representation. This is the door to what we call negotiation in this class - The push and pull of paintwork and the soft decisions that have to be made when control is acquired.
