Jeremy Ellington, a missionary from India, spoke at the Woodinville Community United Methodist Church (WCUMC) about how God wants to amaze us. He shared examples from 20 years of ministry in India. Jeremy said God wants us to connect with Him, but it only works when Jesus is involved. He closed by saying God wants to amaze us with His goodness, love, and power, but we must let Him in to experience it. Afterward, Jeremy and his wife Joy shared more about their ministry in India through slides and video. The newsletter also announced upcoming church events, classes, and volunteer opportunities.
2. God Wants To Amaze Us
Jeremy and Joy Ellington, missionaries with Wind of the Spirit in
India, were in our congregation today, and Jeremy shared a message
that God wants to amaze us. Jeremy had many examples from his 20
years as a pastor in India that he shared with us.
Here are some of his thoughtful
comments:
God wants us to connect with him.
It doesn't work well until Jesus
gets there.
If you don't have it, you can't give
it.
Spirituality is like waterskiing, if
you don't grab it and hang on, you
don't make it up.
Jesus said "it's too big for me alone
to handle. I model what I see, and
what the Father does, I do."
Jeremy closed his message with this key point:
God want to amaze us with His goodness, His love, and His
power. But we must let Him in to experience it.
Following the service, a potluck lunch was shared and Jeremy and
Joy shared slides and video and told about some of the great things
that God was doing in their lives and in their ministry.
We thank God for what he is doing with this ministry, and pray that
He will continue to bless Jeremy and Joy.

Jesus is the Question
by Martin B. Copenhaver
Jesus is the Question considers the
questions Jesus asks—what they tell
us about Jesus and, more importantly,
5. what our responses might say about what it means to follow Him.
Through Jesus’ questions, he modeled the struggle, the wondering,
the thinking it through that helps us draw
closer to God and better understand, not just the answer,
but ourselves.
The class is taught by Don Morgan

perform faster, push harder, and produce
more, all while maintaining
an exhausting image of perfection.
