The most modern Advanced/Lead-In Fighter Trainer
currently produced and the only new generation trainer
optimized for the role.
Excellent performance and flying qualities, similar to modern
frontline fighters.

M-346 Fighter Trainer is the aircraft version conceived to take the
advantage of additional market opportunities by offering in the short term
a product solution with operational capabilities (Homeland Security,
Tactical Reconnaissance and Ground Attack) as a fall-out of the already
certified M-346 AJT platform
Fighter Trainer configuration is designed to be implemented also as a
retrofit modification onto AJT Production Aircraft
Fighter Trainer capabilities have been developed according to modern
“Rules of Engagement” in order to assure reduced "collateral damages"
and are tailored to fit the international market
Basic configuration frozen. Potential for further development based on
specific Customer requirements.

The unique configuration of the M-346 for Poland
• New radio with SATURN (Second generation anti-jam Tactical UHF Radio for NATO) mode
• Advanced ETTS (Embedded Tactical Training Simulation) system which
includes new simulation models
• Brake parachute
• Curtain for darkening the canopy and to execute blind flight missions
• Roll-out: 6 June 2016
• First flight: 5 July 2016
• Completed tests in the anechoic chamber for the verification of the correct
functioning of the radios, with on-board aircraft’s systems running.
• First batch of 6 Polish pilots is to begin the final phase of IPUG
(Instructor Pilot UpGrade) training, which will end by the end of October
• Second batch of 4 pilots arrived at the Lecce-Galatina Air Base to start the Ground School
Next steps:
• Experimental and certification flights for avionics, DataLink and communications system
• Tests for the certification of ETTS and braking parachute
• First flight of the second PLAF M-346, end of September
• Type Certification expected in October
• First deliveries by November this year, in line with the program schedule.

  • 19. 19 © Leonardo - Finmeccanica - Società per azioni M-346 Master for the Polish Air Force The unique configuration of the M-346 for Poland • New radio with SATURN (Second generation anti-jam Tactical UHF Radio for NATO) mode • Advanced ETTS (Embedded Tactical Training Simulation) system which includes new simulation models • Brake parachute • Curtain for darkening the canopy and to execute blind flight missions • Roll-out: 6 June 2016 • First flight: 5 July 2016 • Completed tests in the anechoic chamber for the verification of the correct functioning of the radios, with on-board aircraft’s systems running. • First batch of 6 Polish pilots is to begin the final phase of IPUG (Instructor Pilot UpGrade) training, which will end by the end of October • Second batch of 4 pilots arrived at the Lecce-Galatina Air Base to start the Ground School Next steps: • Experimental and certification flights for avionics, DataLink and communications system • Tests for the certification of ETTS and braking parachute • First flight of the second PLAF M-346, end of September • Type Certification expected in October • First deliveries by November this year, in line with the program schedule.
