I. Garments of Salvation
Isa 61:10
10 I will greatly rejoice in the LORD,
my soul shall be joyful in my God;
for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation,
he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness,
as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments,
and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.
garments of salvation-
more than one garment “of salvation” we need eternal
salvation but also temporal salvation.
You can’t dress yourself, someone else will be your butler.
Gen 3:21
21 Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God
make coats of skins, and clothed them.
Lev 8:6-7
6 And Moses brought Aaron and his sons, and
washed them with water.

2. 7 And he put upon him the coat, and girded him with
the girdle, and clothed him with the robe, and put
the ephod upon him, and he girded him with the
curious girdle of the ephod, and bound it unto him
therewith.
2Sam 1:24
24 Ye daughters of Israel, weep over Saul, who
clothed you in scarlet, with other delights, who put
on ornaments of gold upon your apparel.
Ps 109:18
18 As he clothed himself with cursing like as with his
garment, so let it come into his bowels like water, and like
oil into his bones.
In some way we can soil those garments, you haven’t
abolished them just tainted them.
Rev 3:4
4 Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not
defiled their garments; and they shall walk with me in
white: for they are worthy.

3. Rev 16:15
15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth,
and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they
see his shame.
The world has garments of momentary salvation but they are
form fitting filth; Don’t alter God’s outfit to look like the
worlds.
2Pet 2:13-14
13 And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as
they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots
they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their
own deceivings while they feast with you;
14 Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease
from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have
exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:
1Pet 5:5
5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder.
Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed
with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth
grace to the humble.
Gal 3:3

4. 3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye
now made perfect by the flesh?
II. _Robe_ of Righteousness
It is one thing to have on the garments of salvation, it is rare
for a man to maintain those garments, However, these are
still garments for self. Salvation is personal (self) deliverance.
Righteousness is a garment the casual Christian doesn’t often
see as necessary attire.
Rev 7:9 a costly robe- tribulation, washed
9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no
man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and
people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before
the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their
hands;
Rev 7:14
14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to
me, These are they which came out of great tribulation,
and have washed their robes, and made them white in
the blood of the Lamb.
Isa 22:21-22 from the private wardrobe of none
other than God

5. 21 And I will clothe him with thy robe, and strengthen him
with thy girdle, and I will commit thy government into his
hand: and he shall be a father to the inhabitants of
Jerusalem, and to the house of Judah.
22 And the key of the house of David will I lay upon his
shoulder; so he shall open, and none shall shut; and he
shall shut, and none shall open.
Rom 6:13 transforms the ordinary into the
extraordinary
13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of
unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God,
as those that are alive from the dead, and your members
as instruments of righteousness unto God.
2Cor 6:7 Robe is for a soldier going to battle
7 By the word of truth, by the power of God, by the
armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the
left,
Eph 6:14 protects the heart
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with
truth, and having on the breastplate of
righteousness;

6. Heb 5:13 no retailers sell it, not offered on TV, it
has to be obtained directly from the designer.
13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of
righteousness: for he is a babe.
Rev 19:7
7 Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for
the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made
herself ready.
To “be ready” she has to be without “spot, or wrinkle”—“a
glorious Church” (Eph. 5:27).
Eph 5:26-27
26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the
washing of water by the word,
27 That he might present it to himself a glorious
church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such
thing; but that it should be holy and without
blemish.

7. This is done by the purging and cleansing that will take place
at the “Judgment Seat of Christ”.
1Cor 3:8-9
8 Now he that planteth and he that watereth are one:
and every man shall receive his own reward
according to his own labour.
9 For we are labourers together with God: ye are
God's husbandry, ye are God's building.
1Cor 3:10-16
10 According to the grace of God which is given unto
me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the
foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let
every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.
11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is
laid, which is Jesus Christ.
12 Now if any man build upon this foundation
gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the
day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by
fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of
what sort it is.
14 If any man's work abide which he hath built
thereupon, he shall receive a reward.

8. 15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall
suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as
by fire.
16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and
that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
2Cor 5:10-11
10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat
of Christ; that every one may receive the things
done in his body, according to that he hath done,
whether it be good or bad.
11 Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we
persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God;
and I trust also are made manifest in your
consciences.
Zech 3:4-5
4 And he answered and spake unto those that stood
before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from
him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine
iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with
change of raiment.
5 And I said, Let them set a fair mitre upon his head. So
they set a fair mitre upon his head, and clothed him with
garments. And the angel of the LORD stood by.
