● ________ IPO - A company's highly anticipated initial
public offering (IPO) that becomes a blockbuster with
investors.
● In the stock market, stocks that have the ability to
explode out of the gate are usually highly anticipated
tech stocks, although stocks from other sectors can
also fit the bill.

● Midnight Cowboy is a 1969 film starring Dustin
Hoffman and Joe Voight. It tells the tale of two men
living NYC in the 60s trying to make their living, one as
a hustler, the other as a male prostitute.
● This film was critically acclaimed and is regarded as
one of the best movies of all time. However it holds a
particular distinction.

●
X ( キューブリック ) is a line of collectible block-style figures and
associated products created by Japanese toy company MediCom Toy
Inc.
● The basic X figure design has a body that resembles an extremely
simplified human form, somewhat similar in appearance to Playmobil
or Lego figures. X have been produced in myriad themes. Many
figures are licensed representations of film, comic book, or video
game characters. Among this diverse range of sources is an even
more diverse range of subjects: MediCom has produced Kubricks
based on the films The Great Escape, Star Wars, The Nightmare
Before Christmas, The Usual Suspects, and Amélie among many
others
● Produced in limited numbers and not re-released, X are highly
sought-after by collectors. X are predominantly collected by adults;
the packaging recommends the figures to collectors 13 years or older.

X-Kubrick
● "Kubrick" was chosen in honor of filmmaker
Stanley Kubrick. In further homage to the
filmmaker, the Kubrick logo is designed in the
style of the logo created for his movie A
Clockwork Orange. By linguistic coincidence,
the name Kubrick may also be seen as a hybrid
word of the Japanese word kyu, meaning the
number nine, and the English word brick. Nine
is the number of tools (a toy industry term for
parts of a figure) used in a standard Kubrick
figure

● It is regarded as one of the smartest move in
movie industry when George Lucas accepted a
meagre salary for directing Star Wars Episode
IV : A New Hope from 20th
Century Fox in
exchange of ______.
● Lucas was entitled to a salary of $500,000 for
directing Star Wars. Instead of accepting the
nearly 300% pay raise, George went to Fox
with a proposition. He offered to keep his salary
at $150,000.
● What was the proposition?
*slide intentionally left blank*
He demanded for full merchandising
rights of Star Wars and rights to any
sequels thus earning him billions in
toys, action figurines, parodies, etc.
George Lucas essentially traded
$350,000 for more than $7 billion!

● During her first marriage, X developed a keen interest in
applied science, and bored by her acting career, utilized
this knowledge as an inventor.
● At the commencement of World War II, keen to aid the
Allied war effort, she identified jamming of Allied radio
communications by the Axis as a particular problem, and
with composer George Antheil, developed spread
spectrum and frequency hopping technology to defeat it.
● Though the US Navy did not adopt the technology until the
1960s, the principles of her work are now incorporated into
modern Wi-Fi, CDMA and Bluetooth technology, and this
work led to her being inducted into the National Inventors
Hall of Fame in 2014.

● X is a 1971 satirical comedy film, named after a method of getting rid
of addictions. In the movie, a small town gives up smoking to win
$25,000,000.
● X describes the abrupt cessation of a substance dependence and the
resulting unpleasant experience, as opposed to gradually easing the
process through reduction over time or by using replacement
medication.
● The supposed advantage is, by not actively using supplemental
methods, the addict avoids thinking about the habit and its
temptation, and avoids further feeding the addiction.
● Tl;dr- When your friend says he is giving up smoking altogether rather
than gradually decreasing the number of cigarettes per day, "he is
going X"

● The Eternal Man (also known as Krim Ro u or Krim Jacob)ș
is a figure in Romanian mythology; a man who is said to
have lived for many thousand years, or even being as old
as time itself. Eternal life is not unlike that in vampires,
however Krim is mostly seen as a good, or morally neutral
character, seeking higher truths.
● The 2007 movie X is loosely based on the legend of Krim
Rosü, a man said to have lived thousands of years.
● It is a single location movie where in the protagonist's
house, his friends and colleague discuss the idea of him
being a cro-magnon who has survived for 14,000 years.

● X is a psychological term that suggests that happiness in a
relationship declines after around year seven of a marriage.
● The phrase was first used to describe an inclination to become
unfaithful after seven years of marriage in the play X by George
Axelrod, and gained popularity following the 1955 movie, which
feautres a man suffering from ideas of infidelity with a new
neighbour after seven years of marriage when his wife and kids
leave the New York City for the summer.
● The phrase has since expanded to indicate cycles of
dissatisfaction not only in interpersonal relationships but in any
situation such as working a full-time job or buying a house,
where a decrease in happiness and satisfaction is often seen
over long periods of time.

● Dr. Strangelove is an ex-Nazi scientist, suggesting
Operation Paperclip, the US effort to recruit top
German technical talent at the end of World War II. He
serves as President Muffley's scientific adviser in the
War Room.
● The character is based on X.
● There is a common misconception that the character
was based on Henry Kissinger, but Kubrick and
Sellers denied this. Sellers said, "Strangelove was
never modeled after Kissinger—that's a popular
misconception. It was always X."

● Shown here is the short clips from music video of Lady
Gaga’s ‘Bad Romance’ released in the year 2009. The
Music video pays its tribute to two legends of the
entertainment industry.
● The lyrics of this song is a tribute to Alfred Hitchcock,
where it goes like this.."I want your psycho, your
vertigo shtick/Want you in my rear window, baby you're
sick.“
● But, visually it is a tribute to X. The music video uses
lot of X’s most famous scenes and techniques.

● _________ effect is a figurative term for a process that starts
from an initial state of small significance and builds upon itself,
becoming larger, and also perhaps potentially dangerous or
disastrous, though it might be beneficial instead.
● This is a very common cliché in cartoons and modern theatrics
and it is also used in Psychology.
● It is named after the common analogy made to describe this
effect.
● "X" is also a 90-minute retrospective documentary for Clerks
that focuses on Smith's early inception of the film, the process
of making and distributing and finally, the reaction and response
to the film from critics and fans.

● George Wallace Jr. (1919 – 1998) was an American politician
and the 45th governor of Alabama. After four runs for U.S.
president (three as a Democrat and one on the American
Independent Party ticket), he earned the title "the most
influential loser" in 20th-century U.S. politics, according to
biographers Dan T. Carter and Stephan Lesher. An 1972
assassination attempt by Arthur Bremer left him paralyzed and
made him live his life on his wheelchair.
● Arthur Bremer was imprisoned for 35 years and was released
on November 9, 2007.
● Arthur Bremer’s diary is said to be the inspiration for the
character of a very famous character.

Indian musical composer, music arranger and
teacher from the village of Majorda who, during
the mid-1950s, attempted to merge the
symphonies of his Goan heritage with the
Hindustani melodies and rhythms in films of the

‘Resound India’ in Adyar. X approached Sai
Shravanam to record a track for the film Y.
● He didn't have the required technical
background or technology for that specific
project. He bought the licence for Source
Connect software, a software similar to Skype
which enables remote-recording. "I didn't sleep

● "I felt really exposed," she said. "It didn't hit me until the first moment where
the scene called for me to expose myself, because what came over me was
such shame. Which was weird, because they weren't my breasts, and it was
what I had signed up to do. If you look closely at those scenes when I'm
opening my blouse, I'm smiling, but not in my eyes," she said. "It was
probably good for the character and gave her an extra layer, but that was
completely unplanned. I was just feeling really emotional and trying to hide it.
I was embarrassed, and I was embarrassed for feeling embarrassed. I
couldn't get over that feeling that opening up my blouse felt so real."
● Meanwhile, Kaitlyn Leeb, who plays the same role in the reboot, actually has
been milking the part, appearing at Comic-Con.
● As for the crazy fans, Lycia Naff says she's happy to pass on the torch to
Leeb.
● "She's had to carry on with all the horny sci-fi fanboys!" said Naff, "They're
hers now!"
● The scene is so iconic that Len Wiseman, who directed the reboot decided
to keep the scene in the movie.

imagined to have no beginning or end because
of its circular plot.
● After the movie ended, these 3 men entered

● The term 'Paper Street' refers to a road or
street that has been planned by city engineers
but has yet to be constructed. A paper street is
sometimes published in common street
directories by accident, but does not yet exist.
● In the movie X, the main character is shown to
be living at "537 Paper Street, Bradford DE
19808", which is a smart way of foreshadowing
the ending of the movie.

● The idea for the movie Groundhog Day came from the
book X by Y, which describes a man living same day
over and over again.
● In X, Y experiments with the notion of power but does
not advance any systematic theory. The book contains
Y's first consideration of the idea of the eternal
recurrence, a concept which would become critical in
his next work.
● Y believes X to be the most personal of all of his
books.

● X was a British military officer who is famous for
his contribution to the Arab revolt from 1916-18.
● His work received a lot of coverage and several
books and movies are based on his life.
● Incidentally, his death in 1935 in a motorcycle
accident sparked off a research to avoid such

● The line in the movie Citizen kane, "Don't believe everything
you hear on the radio" is a reference to the radio show Orson
Welles did, which was an adaptation of Y's book X.
● It became famous for allegedly causing mass panic by
suggesting that an actual alien invasion by Martians was
currently in progress.
● "What a night. After the broadcast, as I tried to get back to the
St. Regis where we were living, I was blocked by an
impassioned crowd of news people looking for blood, and the
disappointment when they found I wasn't hemorrhaging. It
wasn't long after the initial shock that whatever public panic and
outrage there was vanished. But, the newspapers for days
continued to feign fury.", said Orson Welles.

● According to movie's main star Y, DJ Tim Westwood was an influence
on the development of his character.
● Westwood used to host Radio 1's Rap Show and speaks in a faux
Multicultural London English and hip hop dialect.
● The movie's protagonist middle class credentials mirror Westwood's:
the latter was brought up in Lowestoft, Suffolk as a bishop's son.
● The movie X is based upon a satirical TV series. In the series, Y plays
as three unorthodox journalists—the main character, a Kazakh
named ____ Sagdiyev, and a gay Austrian named Brüno Gehard. The
trio conduct interviews with unsuspecting people (many of whom are
celebrities, high-ranking government officials and other well-known
persons), during which they ask absurd and ridiculous questions.

● In 1941, while filming X, the director Y felt that the camera did not do justice
to Jane Russell's large bust. He employed his engineering skills to design a
new cantilevered underwire bra to emphasize her assets.
● Y added curved structural steel rods that were sewn into the brassiere under
each breast cup. The rods were connected to the bra's shoulder straps. The
arrangement allowed the breasts to be pulled upward and made it possible
to move the shoulder straps away from the neck.
● The design allowed for a larger amount of bosom to be freely exposed.
Contrary to many media reports afterward, Russell did not wear the bra
during filming. According to her 1988 autobiography, she said the bra was so
uncomfortable that she secretly discarded it. She wrote that the "ridiculous"
contraption hurt so much that she wore it only a few minutes. She instead
wore her own bra, padded the cups with tissue, tightened the shoulder
straps, and returned to the set. She later said, "I never wore it in X, and he
never knew. He wasn’t going to take my clothes off to check if I had it on. I
just told him I did." The famed bra ended up in a Hollywood museum—a
false witness to the push-up myth.
● The film X is notable as Russell's breakthrough role, turning the young
actress into a sex symbol and a Hollywood icon.

● X is a form of mental abuse in which information is twisted or
spun, selectively omitted to favor the abuser, or false
information is presented with the intent of making victims doubt
their own memory, perception, and sanity.
● Instances may range simply from the denial by an abuser that
previous abusive incidents ever occurred, up to the staging of
bizarre events by the abuser with the intention of disorienting
the victim.
● The term owes its origin to the movie X starring Ingrid Bergman
about a woman whose husband slowly manipulates her into
believing that she's going insane, after which it was coined
popularly.
● The term has been used in clinical and research literature.

● Camels caused several problems on set of X. Y was not
used to riding camels and found the saddle to be
uncomfortable.
● While in Amman during a break in filming, he bought a
piece of foam rubber at a market and added it to his
saddle. Many of the extras copied the idea and sheets of
the foam can be seen on many of the horse and camel
saddles.
● The Bedouin nicknamed Y "'Ab al-'Isfanjah", meaning
"Father of the Sponge".
● Today the practice has spread to become Bedouin tradition
and many Bedouins add foam rubber to their saddles.

● X is a cannibal exploitation horror film directed by Ruggero Deodato.
● The film tells the story of a missing documentary film crew who had gone to
the Amazon to film cannibal tribes.
● X achieved notoriety as its graphic violence aroused a great deal of
controversy. After its premiere in Italy, it was ordered to be seized by a local
magistrate, and Deodato was arrested on obscenity charges. He was later
charged with making a snuff film(the movie in which a person dies in real)
due to rumors that claimed some actors were killed on camera.
● To make matters worse for Deodato, the actors had signed contracts with
him and the producers ensuring that they would not appear in any type of
media, motion pictures, or commercials for one year following the film's
release in order to promote the idea that the film was truly the recovered
footage of missing documentarians. Thus, when Deodato claimed that he
had not killed the group, questions arose as to why the actors were in no
other media if they were alive.
● Eventually, Deodato was able to prove that the violence was staged. After
they were presented with evidence, the courts dropped all murder charges
against Deodato.

Kubrick based on the novel of the same name by
Humphrey Cobb.
● Set during World War I, the film stars Kirk Douglas as
Colonel Dax, the commanding officer of French soldiers
who refuse to continue a suicidal attack. Dax attempts to
defend them against a charge of cowardice in a court-
martial.

band-members meet their former rival Ajay from Chakravyuh,
Ajay tells them that he heard they had broken up.
● In response to this, KD says "Guess you were wrong. Hum ek
break par the, now we are back", which was influenced by the
famous dialogue from the X's member during their reuniting
album, "For the record we never broke up, we just had a 14
year vacation".
● The movie pays homage to this rock band in more ways. The
lead vocalist Aditya's birthday in the movie is repeatedly
highlighted as July 22. This referred to the real birthday of the
lead vocalist of the X. The lead guitarist's name is Joseph
Mascarenhas, nick-named Joe which is the same as one of the

● X was an American newspaper publisher who built the nation's largest newspaper
chain and whose methods profoundly influenced American journalism.
● Citizen Kane is one of the most influential motion pictures of all time. To some it is the
greatest film ever made, period. It is loosely based on X's life. Orson Welles and co-
writer Herman J. Mankiewicz created Kane as a composite character of multiple men,
among them Harold McCormick, Samuel Insull and Howard Hughes.
● X, enraged at the idea of Citizen Kane being a thinly disguised and very unflattering
portrait of him, used his massive influence and resources in an unsuccessful attempt
to prevent the film from being released—all without his ever even having seen it.
Welles and the studio RKO Pictures resisted the pressure, but Hearst and his
Hollywood friends ultimately succeeded in pressuring theater chains to limit showings
of Citizen Kane, resulting in mediocre box-office numbers and seriously harming
Welles's career.
● X even conspired to have a naked woman jump into Welles' arm at the hotel he was
staying and asked a photographer to click a picture in an attempt to harm Welles'
reputation. Welles' got to know about this and was careful about such attempts from
thereon.

● "In like ____" is a slang phrase meaning "having quickly or
easily achieved a goal or gained access as desired". In addition
to its general use, the phrase is sometimes used to describe
success in sexual seduction, and its folk etymology often
asserts the phrase has sexual origins.
● The term is often believed to refer to movie star X. X had a
reputation for womanizing, consumption of alcohol and
brawling. His freewheeling, hedonistic lifestyle caught up with
him in November 1942 when two under-age girls, Betty Hansen
and Peggy Satterlee, accused him of statutory rape.
● According to etymologist Michael Quinion, the incident served
to increase X's reputation as a ladies' man, which led to the
popular phrase "in like _____".

● X is a 1935 propaganda film directed, produced, edited and co-written
by Leni Riefenstahl. It chronicles the 1934 Nazi Party Congress in
Nuremberg, which was attended by more than 700,000 Nazi
supporters. The film's overriding theme is the return of Germany as a
great power, with Hitler as the leader who will bring glory to the
nation.
● X was released in 1935 and became a prominent example of
propaganda in film history. Riefenstahl's techniques—such as moving
cameras, aerial photography, the use of long focus lenses to create a
distorted perspective, and the revolutionary approach to the use of
music and cinematography—have earned its recognition as one of
the greatest propaganda films in history.
● Charlie Chaplin's classic satire The Great Dictator was inspired in
large part by X.
● The film has been studied by many contemporary artists, including
film directors Sir Peter Jackson, George Lucas and Ridley Scott.

● X is the reproduction of everyday sound effects that are added
to film, video, and other media in post-production to enhance
audio quality.
● These reproduced sounds can be anything from the swishing of
clothing and footsteps to squeaky doors and breaking glass.
The best X art is so well integrated into a film that it goes
unnoticed by the audience.
● It helps to create a sense of reality within a scene. Without
these crucial background noises, movies feel unnaturally quiet
and uncomfortable.
● X artists recreate the realistic ambient sounds that the film
portrays. The props and sets of a film often do not react the
same way acoustically as their real life counterparts. X sounds
are used to enhance the auditory experience of the movie.

● Sallie Gardner at a Gallop is a series of photographs
consisting of a galloping horse by Eadweard Muybridge on
June 15, 1878.
● Sometimes cited as a precursor to the development of
motion pictures.
● The series consists of 24 photographs shot in rapid
succession that were shown on a zoopraxiscope.
Muybridge was commissioned by Leland Stanford, the
industrialist and horseman, who was interested in gait
analysis.
● The purpose of the shoot was to settle a famous bar

● Zero Hour! is a 1957 drama film directed by Hall Bartlett from a
screenplay by Arthur Hailey, Hall Bartlett and John Champion. It
stars Dana Andrews, Linda Darnell and Sterling Hayden.
● Zero Hour! was an adaptation of Hailey's original 1956
Canadian Broadcasting Corporation teleplay Flight into Danger.
● Zero Hour! was also used as the basis for the parody film
X(1980). Because Zero Hour! was owned at the time by
Paramount Pictures, the makers of X, also a Paramount
feature, were able to use the screenplay almost verbatim.
● X follows the same plot, uses the same character name for the

● Many people would believe that once invented, AC took over rapidly. But, no,
it had to battle a major trend of early 20th
century America : Open air
movement!
● AC was considered unhealthy because of respiration. They pictured large
crowd of people spewing out toxic carbon dioxide. So people protested that
AC is something for the factories, not for the home.
● In factories, AC was considered essential not because of cooling, but
because of their ability to control humidity.
● The open air movement stopped the rise of AC to homes, schools, offices
etc.
● How did then Air Conditioning became so succesful? Which growing cultural
phenomenon made people accept Air Conditioning?

● When people realized that they weren't dying
from it, they accepted air conditioning and by
1940s, 90% of movie theatres had air
conditioning. Soon people installed ACs in their
homes, schools and offices and open air
movement ended.
● So, all the people in H-hostel and the people
enjoying the benefits of AC right now : You have
movie theatres to thank for it!

● X is a 1935 Hindi stunt film by the Wadia Movietone company of Mumbai, featuring
Mary Evans, better known as, Fearless Nadia as the heroine. X is commonly cited as
one of the first Indian movie to have a female lead.
● X was the first lead role for Nadia. She performed many stunts in the film which were
applauded by the audience. Because of the movie's success, Nadia became a cult
icon and starred in numerous stunt films, becoming Indian cinema's "earliest and
most popular stunt actress".
● X was a runaway success and a bonanza in terms of money earned, as it ran for 25
weeks making record earnings for the year.
● Nadia became known as "X Nadia" and became a legendary figure in the Indian
cinema. "X Nadia" emerged as feminist icon of Hindi cinema, who portrayed as the
one who would break the glass ceiling and overturn the patriarchal order.
● X's adulation was exploited to promote various products with the name "X" prefixed to
the brand name such as whips, belts, playing cards, chappals, bags, bangles, match
boxes, shoes, shirts etc.
● Wadia later regretted that he didn't patent the word X, which could have brought him
a fortune in royalties.
● X?

● X is a 1902 French silent film directed by Georges Méliès.
Inspired by a wide variety of sources, including Jules
Verne's novels From the Earth to the Moon and Around the
Moon.
● Its unusual length, lavish production values, innovative
special effects, and emphasis on storytelling were
markedly influential on other film-makers and ultimately on
the development of narrative film as a whole.
● In a scene where which the capsule lands in the Moon's
eye remains one of the most iconic and frequently
referenced images in the history of cinema. It is widely
regarded as the earliest example of the science fiction film
genre and, more generally, as one of the most influential
films in cinema history.
● X? (pic on next slide)

● On next slide you will see a clip from the movie
A.I Artificial Intelligence, directed by Steven
Spielberg. It was envisioned by Stanley Kubrick
and he worked on it for 12 years but along the
way decided to let Spielberg direct because it
was "closer to his sensibilities".
● The scene shows Dr. Know(voiced by Robin
Williams) talking to the kid.
● What is special about this scene?
*slide intentionally left blank*
Robin Williams actually recorded his
dialogue for the film with Stanley
Kubrick directing the recording
session, he did it a long time before
Steven Spielberg was asked to
direct.
Thus, this is the only part of movie
directed by Stanley Kubrick.

● The tune that is heard in the whistling scene from the movie The
Bridge on the River Kwai, is the first strain of the march “Colonel
Bogey.”
● Besides serving as an example of British fortitude and dignity in the
face of privation, the “Colonel Bogey March” suggested a specific
symbol of defiance to British film-goers, as its melody had been used
for the song “X”, which was composed by Tony O’Brien as part of
British war propaganda.
● Director David Lean wanted to introduce the soldiers into the camp
singing this song, but it was thought too vulgar, and so whistling was
substituted.
● However, the lyrics were, and continue to be, so well known to the
British public that they recognized the song anyway.
● Which song am I talking about?(clip on the next slide)
*slide intentionally left blank*
Hitler has only got one ball
● The lyrics are:
Hitler has only got one ball,
Göring has two but very small,
Himmler has something sim'lar,
But poor old Goebbels has no balls at all.

  • 85. 24 ● In 1941, while filming X, the director Y felt that the camera did not do justice to Jane Russell's large bust. He employed his engineering skills to design a new cantilevered underwire bra to emphasize her assets. ● Y added curved structural steel rods that were sewn into the brassiere under each breast cup. The rods were connected to the bra's shoulder straps. The arrangement allowed the breasts to be pulled upward and made it possible to move the shoulder straps away from the neck. ● The design allowed for a larger amount of bosom to be freely exposed. Contrary to many media reports afterward, Russell did not wear the bra during filming. According to her 1988 autobiography, she said the bra was so uncomfortable that she secretly discarded it. She wrote that the "ridiculous" contraption hurt so much that she wore it only a few minutes. She instead wore her own bra, padded the cups with tissue, tightened the shoulder straps, and returned to the set. She later said, "I never wore it in X, and he never knew. He wasn’t going to take my clothes off to check if I had it on. I just told him I did." The famed bra ended up in a Hollywood museum—a false witness to the push-up myth. ● The film X is notable as Russell's breakthrough role, turning the young actress into a sex symbol and a Hollywood icon.

  • 97. 28 ● X is a cannibal exploitation horror film directed by Ruggero Deodato. ● The film tells the story of a missing documentary film crew who had gone to the Amazon to film cannibal tribes. ● X achieved notoriety as its graphic violence aroused a great deal of controversy. After its premiere in Italy, it was ordered to be seized by a local magistrate, and Deodato was arrested on obscenity charges. He was later charged with making a snuff film(the movie in which a person dies in real) due to rumors that claimed some actors were killed on camera. ● To make matters worse for Deodato, the actors had signed contracts with him and the producers ensuring that they would not appear in any type of media, motion pictures, or commercials for one year following the film's release in order to promote the idea that the film was truly the recovered footage of missing documentarians. Thus, when Deodato claimed that he had not killed the group, questions arose as to why the actors were in no other media if they were alive. ● Eventually, Deodato was able to prove that the violence was staged. After they were presented with evidence, the courts dropped all murder charges against Deodato. ● X?

The lead vocalist Aditya's birthday in the movie is repeatedly highlighted as July 22. This referred to the real birthday of the lead vocalist of the X. • 108. 31 ● X was an American newspaper publisher who built the nation's largest newspaper chain and whose methods profoundly influenced American journalism. ● Citizen Kane is one of the most influential motion pictures of all time. To some it is the greatest film ever made, period. It is loosely based on X's life. Orson Welles and co- writer Herman J. Mankiewicz created Kane as a composite character of multiple men, among them Harold McCormick, Samuel Insull and Howard Hughes. ● X, enraged at the idea of Citizen Kane being a thinly disguised and very unflattering portrait of him, used his massive influence and resources in an unsuccessful attempt to prevent the film from being released—all without his ever even having seen it. Welles and the studio RKO Pictures resisted the pressure, but Hearst and his Hollywood friends ultimately succeeded in pressuring theater chains to limit showings of Citizen Kane, resulting in mediocre box-office numbers and seriously harming Welles's career. ● X even conspired to have a naked woman jump into Welles' arm at the hotel he was staying and asked a photographer to click a picture in an attempt to harm Welles' reputation. Welles' got to know about this and was careful about such attempts from thereon. ● X?

X had a reputation for womanizing, consumption of alcohol and brawling.
