This document discusses the impact of future climate change and population growth on water availability in Kupang City, Indonesia. It notes that the population of Kupang City grew 3.19% annually to 658,346 people in 2012. Climate change models project increased temperatures and variable rainfall patterns in the coming decades. While climate change alone may not significantly impact water availability, the combined effects of climate change, population growth, and increasing water demand are expected to result in water shortages from April to October each year as demand outpaces supply. The conclusion is that integrated water resources management and conservation efforts will be needed to ensure adequate water availability for Kupang City in the future.
