ACME ACME MECHATROINCS, INC. is US based company involved in
Mechatronics, Inc.
manufacturing and supplying winding machines and accessories used in the
field of winding applications.
ACME manufactures Programmable Winding machines in comprehensive
range to meet customer’s specific demand. ACME is a technology based
company with winding machines designed on 8 and 16 bit micro controller of
Intel MCS-96 architecture using software development tool from IAR System,
Sweden and simulator along with in-circuit emulators from Phyton, Inc., USA.
The mechanical design is carried on Solid Edge with Synchronous
Technology PMLsoftware from Siemens, USA. Company has the capability to
handle varieties of motors which includes DC motors, AC motors,
Synchronous motors, Stepper motors and servo motors depending on the
application.
Presently both the R&D and production departments are headed by Alpesh
Patel at the manufacturing unit in India, while Amish Patel heads the sales
team in US based office which allows easy communication of the customer's
specific requirements and simplifies the winding machine selection process
along with co-ordinating the customers in North America, South America and
Europe with R&D and service team. Alpesh and Amish has been the driver
behind the growth and success of ACME Mechantronics from its inception to
its current market position.
Parent Company Acme Electronics has been in business for more than
decade and completed over 2500 customer installations and have
established ACME Mechatronics, Inc. as a group company with a commitment
of supplying cost effective Ex-stock winding machines with readily available
spares for western part of the world.
ACME is also committed to be one stop solution for various machines
and accessories related to winding application.
Winding Capabilities
25 different standard product line covers wire size from
0.017mm/55AWG to 5.00mm/4AWG, coil diameter
from 0.02 inch/0.5mm to 26inch/700mm and winding
length from 0.02inch/0.5mm to 25inch/635mm with
single and multi spindle machines for producing
samples to high volume. Acme also specializes in
building customized winding machines with AEX
control units for special winding applications and this
amounts to 30% of the total sales.
Winding Machines
ACME winding machines are designed with separate
Electronic control unit and Mechanical unit that are
customized to our customer’s need. 30% of the
machines supplied are customised and designed
specific to customer winding needs. The software are
fitted with field upgradable flash memory to help future
design/modification. Since 100% design and
manufacturing is carried in house, our after sales
service is excellent and cost effective.
Electronic Control Unit
The electronic unit controls the winding machine. The
standard control unit consists of 40x2 LCD to display
alphanumeric characters, 10 keys for data entry and
three plug-in type connector for interfacing with the
mechanical winding unit. This modularity enables any
unskilled operator to simply replace the control unit in
any part of the world in case of any fault ensuring
minimum down time.
Mechanical Unit
The mechanical winding unit is interfaced with the
controller using a simple three plug-in type connector.
This ensures quick and easy installation of the
machine.

AEE Series - Proto Type Application
Wire upto 0.6mm, diameter upto 50mm and weight upto 0.5lbs. Used for
miniature coils to wind proto type, R&D and lab applications.
AEX Series - Versatile Application
Wire upto 18awg/1.00mm, coil diameter upto 3inch and weight upto 2.0lbs.
Multi functional, Rigid construction, High speed, wide application, Possibility
of customization, Used with various optional accessories. Used for
production, Special applications, Proto type, R&D and lab application. Most
versatile series with possibility to customise the machine for specific
application for small and medium winding application.
AEW Series - Basic Application
Wire upto 12awg/2.00mm, coil diameter upto 4inch and weight upto 3.0lbs
Simple coils with high torque and simple operation. Used for average quantity
production for thicker wire.
AEH Series - Moderate to heavy Application
Wire upto 5awg/5.0mm, coil diameter upto 20inch and weight upto 100.0lbs.
Used for thicker wire and heavy coils.
AEF-01 Series - LV Application
Strip upto 0.6x0.2 inch, coil diameter upto 20inch and weight upto 200.0lbs.
Used for distribution transformers and low voltage coils.
AEM-01 Series - Motor Coils
For motor coils with hand feed operation. Used for motor repair shop.
Toroidal - Small Toroidal Applicatiopn
Wire upto 19awg/1.0mm, outer diameter upto 3inch and inner diameter upto
0.3inch. Used for small toroidal CT’s and ferrite core winding.
Special Purpose - Customised Application
We supply customised winding machine for Spiral winding, Flyer winding,
Long axial winding, R-Core winding, Flexible strip winding and Stator winding.
