President Robert Maher, Jr. called the January 13, 2018 meeting to order at 1:12
PM at the Board Room of Western Pennsylvania School for the Deaf.
Irene Hearn (Ex), Todd Langer (Ex), Stephen Rute (Ex), David Strait (Ex), and
Peggy Patterson (Unex) were absent.
The minutes of the Saturday, September 9th
, 2017 Meeting was approved as
corrected.

Stephen Rute – “present” using VideoPhone.
The financial report was held until the next meeting due to our Treasurer being
out with flu.
COMMUNICATION
- CEO Dr. Steven Farmer – thanked us for supporting WPSD Fall-In Gala
- received Annual Report
- received Christmas card
- got response from Dr. Farmer @ the research purpose (for our non-WPSD
employee) – APPROVED but must follow guidelines
James Brown’s obituary not posted online while all the other recent
deceased are

NEW BUSINESS
EB 2017/20-03 – Stephen Rute (seconded) moved that we allow him to bring old
WPANs home for research purposes. CARRIED
EB 2017/20-04 – David Fulmer (seconded) moved that we upload all of our
pictures to FLICKR. CARRIED

EB 2017/20-05 – Tracey Marchese (seconded) moved that we host Bingo Night
on November 17, 2018.
Valentine Wojton, III (seconded) amended that this be added to the main
motion, “ with Tracey Marchese as the chairperson for this event” between
Night and on.
Stephen Rute (seconded) amended by replacing this phrase “November 17,
2018” with “TBA”. both amendments and the main motion – CARRIED
It was moved that we host Bingo Night with Tracey Marchese as the
chairperson for this event on TBA.
EB 2017/20 06 – Valentine Wojton, III (seconded) moved that we loan $500.00
to Angel Maher for her preparation of the May 25th
Alumni Gala. CARRIED
We closed the new business.
Our next meeting date will be on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 1:00 p.m.
