Amala Paul’s mother speaking to scribes revealed her daughter’s wedding preparations. On engagement
she said “For the traditional church engagement, Amala will wear a white gown, designed by Anita
Dongre. She will wear a diamond neck piece to go with it. For the sangeeth, she will wear a traditional
lehenga in pink with golden embellishments, and uncut diamond accessories.“
About marriage, she said “While Amala will wear a gold and red traditional Kancheevaram sari for the

2. wedding and jewels from Amrapali collection, she will dazzle in a golden Sabyasachi creation for the
wedding reception. She is planning to wear a diamond set that goes with the attire,“.
While engagement will be attended by close friends and family members, celebrities will grace grand
sangeet at CIAL Convention Centre, Nedumbassery. Marriage will be performed in traditional chettiar
style in Chennai.
