Koc Fest




           Koc Fest is the most comprehensive youth
                         festival in Turkey.
Koc Fest


     30 days event marathon,
     7 different universites.

     Covering
     Finals of university sports games
     Music concerts
     Entertainment events
Our mission




     Extend the boundaries of event
     with the digital technologies.

     And we digitalized the festival
Internet History




     Yahoo, altavista and others
     developed crowded websites
     which provide every service or
     every information you may need.
Internet History




     Then google brought in a new
     way of communication and
     showed us that with only a single
     search box, you can be the most
     valuable company.
Web 2.0




     With web 2.0, users became
     content providers rather than
     content consumers.
Everyone became famous as he predicted
SOCIAL MEDIA
Social Network




     The social network atracted
     billions of people no matter what
     their education, or income is.

     A new tool to express yourself.
Social Network



       •Broadcast your mood,
       •Share your moments.
       •Seek for new friendships
       •Post photos
       •State comments
       •invite masses of people
WHAT WE DID?
We provide them instruments to record their
 own moments of joy and stimulated their
           incentives of sharing.

We gave them something that’s worth sharing for.

       •   MUSIC CONCERT

HOW WE DID IT




    We utilized RFID technology

    We designed an RFID card
    which stores the Facebook id’s of
    the students
HOW WE DID IT




    Informative videos to explain
    what you can do with the Koc
    Fest Card.
HOW WE DID IT




  Then we distributed these cards
  to all students before and within
  the event.

  They are registered via Facebook
  Connect
HOW WE DID IT



   As they add the application their
   facebook informations were
   transferred to our database and
   matched with the RFID cards. So
   whenever the card is read with
   our readers, we can identify the
   student.

                   OUR MAJOR GOAL
               Attract more students to the sports games

We installed RFID card readers around the games and asked
students to check-in those points with their
cards
Sports Games



    Thus, they collected points to
    win prizes.

    We let them to check in every
    single hour so that they will be
    all around the games.

                             OUR GOAL
               Provide personal videos that’s worth sharing for
Entertainment Events



     The entertainment area was
     designed in such a way to
     produce personal videos. We
     designed many games and all
     these games were integrated with
     the RFID system.
The students used their personal Kocfest cards to play the games
And they collected points for every game they attended
Entertainment Games




Bullet time effect in the Matrix movie
Entertainment Games




With 45 Canon EOS cameras we set up the system to shoot
the students like they were playing in movie.
The videos areprocessed and uploaded to the internet instantly
Entertainment Games




With video glasses they experienced to race with model
cars like they are driving in them
Entertainment Games




They sang their favorite songs in the kareoke show
Entertainment Games




They played bowling with by rolling in a sphere
Social Network




       For every session, a personal
       video is processed instantly by
       our software and those videos
       were distributed to various
       channels.

    famous rock star Emre Aydin to
    perform live concerts at every
    step of the event

    2.5 million Facebook Fans

We produced a video clip for one of his famous song
We placed dummy areas for users to place their photos

We designed a promosite

A chance to play in the leading role with Emre Aydin
FACEBOOK FANS
Only a post to Emre Aydın Facebook Page
drove hundred thousands of visitors and
 20.000 contributors to the campaign.
DREAM PRIZE
The most watched 5 video clips are promised
to be broadcasted on the music tv channels.
NATURAL BORN SEEDERS
Users shared their links in every possible way
       in order to win the dream prize
KOC FEST – The Result
SPORTS GAMES
The prize system drove masses of people to the sports games.
Hundreds of students competed to collect points and win the
                          prizes.
                             .
ENTERTAINMENT GAMES
The videos gathered from entertainment events was watched more
                       than 500.000 times.

     They obtained 1.2 million Facebook likes and comments
EMRE AYDIN PROJECT
Emre Aydin video clips were watched more than 1 million times.
   They obtained 3.5 million facebook likes and comments.
Totally the campaign reached more than 5 million people
                   through Facebook.
WE just gave people the opportunity to make their own videos.
   In other words, the opportunity to express themselves.

       In return, they let us to reach millions of people.
