  • Level-headed voices are rare when it comes to MOOCs. Thanks for the wider view and statistics.

    Critics point to the high non-completion rate for MOOCs without examining students' failure to complete traditional classes and paid online classes, and I think the discussion changes when broader statistics are considered.
    Who says a student who participates in a MOOC does not benefit, possibly in significant ways?

    - non traditional students are the new 'normal'

    - emerging technologies are shaping higher education (online hybrid collaborative learning in particular)

    - student=consumer =>> student=creator

    Many questions: critically expressed.
