What do we call Territorial Intelligence ?
A policy aiming at the competitive development of a local or regional
territory through supporting enterprises and public developers by the use
of CI methodologies and tools. This policy aims at,
producing knowledge,
developing CI teaching,
organizing security and trust on internet,
promoting the competitive and cultural advantage of the territory
Results of the TI process provides strategic information used for strategic
objectives, operational objectives and Territorial Marketing.

Quebec Region and its Tourism Intelligence Network
Context :
The Tourism Intelligence Network is an organization devoted to strategic intelligence
gathering in the field of tourism. It was launched on January 30, 2004, by the Transat
Chair in Tourism at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) School of Business
Administration, with the financial support of Canada Economic Development– Quebec
Regions and Tourisme Québec.
The Mission
“To locate, gather, analyze and distribute value-added information to enhance the
Quebec tourism industry’s competitiveness and help its decision-makers develop
forward-looking strategies.”
