different from dry goods stores management.
 Warehouse operations of Hyderabad General Store Management
The designs of warehouse are multiple entries and exits are call docks. Warehouse has multiple
docks where goods are load or unload without any system loss. Operations are focus on highly
time sensitive and product availability issues rather than business profitability. In the staging area
they do procurement like sorting, grading and tagging. DC has enough packing space to
complete the procurement. DC has multiple storage system like Racking system, Storage bins,
and Cold storage etc.
 ClassificationofDC
DC is classified into two ways
1) Wet DC
2) Dry DC
According to the product nature the function has distinctly change Wet DC to Dry DC.HFGM
has different types of Act to handle the commodities without any mismanagement.
 Operations in Dry DC
HFGM has follow some operations to facilitate faster response time
 The shift executive: In this part the samples are checked by the shift executive. If the
qualities are satisfied by shift executive than bar codes are paste into the inbound cartons.
Bar code indicate the specific location of the product, quantity, details of inventory in the
DC. Handling unit product also identify by bar code.
 The stacker: Basically the stacker find the rack location & place platters. Locations
are identifying by unique digit. Manually check the particular list. Stacking tools are
lifts, stackers and reach-trucks.
 Indent to the DC
The Distribution center receives order from stores when double order point is reached for a
particular stock keeping unit. Reorder points ensure by Minimum Bin Quantity. After reaching to
MBQ than indent generate to the Distributions Centre.
 Pack list:
Pack list has contain some details like

b) Product description
c) Quantity requirement
d) Manually check digit by the loader
e) Verified by supervisors
f) Product Specification
After that the loader picks the items in the pick list and then it ready for handling unit in staging
area.
 Despatch:
In this racks items are ready to be dispatched to the store. The despatches are given to
transportation department for inbound or outbound transportation for dry DC.
 Operations in Wet DC:
In Wet DC stage there is different stage to for the problem of storage. On the other hand dry DC
store management are not deals with so many different stage. Most of the time cross docked
system is followed. When items are arrived suppliers are received by CPC (City collection
Centre).Up to 3 am suppliers receives the product. Bar codes are scanned to the store. The
loading is done in crates. Each of crates contains 10kg weight. Then it sends to WMS. Non cross
docked items are sending into cold storage section to keep the items at standardized temperature.
After that transportation department carry the outbound activities of the Wet DC.
 Different from dry goods stores Management
Wet goods store management are associated with fresh goods, wet goods store management are
keep in humid temperatures.
