“Allah did confer a great favor on the Believers
when He sent among them a Messenger from
among themselves, rehearsing unto them the Signs
of Allah, sanctifying them and instructing them in
Scripture and Wisdom, while before that, they had
been in manifest error.”

12. “We are (most) in need of a little from adab,

13. “Educate (nurture with Adab)) your children upon three things:
[1] To Love your Prophet (s.a.w.),
[2] And to love the Family members of his household
(Aali Muhammad),
[3] and (learn) to recite Al-Qur’an.”
(Hadith of the Prophet narrated by Tabrani)
All Rights Reserved© Zhulkeflee Hj Ismail (2013)
14. “If you do not know (someone), how can you then claim
to love (that someone)?”
To know Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. is (wajib) obligatory.
A Qa-idah in Fiqh states:
“Every (knowledge), for which an obligation
cannot be fulfilled except by (possessing) it,
then its acquisition is (therefore) obligatory.”
All Rights Reserved© Zhulkeflee Hj Ismail (2013)
16. “Now hath come unto you an messenger from
amongst yourselves: it grieves him that ye should
perish: ardently anxious is he over you: to the
Believers is he most kind and merciful.”
(Qur’an: Taubah: 9: 128)
All Rights Reserved© Zhulkeflee Hj Ismail (2013)
17. So how much do we know about him?
Are we aware of how concerned Prophet Muhammad s.a.w.
was towards all people, that they be saved from the torments
of hell-fire?
Allah said: “it grieves him that ye should perish: ardently
anxious is he over you: to the Believers is he most kind and
merciful.”
All Rights Reserved© Zhulkeflee Hj Ismail (2013)
18. And who do you think are the “Ummah ” of our Prophet
Muhammad s.a.w.? Indeed he was sent by Allah for every
person – even the non-Muslims, except we cannot use
coercion (force) nor deception in inviting them to Islam.
Do we not realise that Prophet Muhammad s.a.w. is
certainly the “Educator” par excellence? yet how much of his
educational approach do we benefit from or have we ever
appreciated?
All Rights Reserved© Zhulkeflee Hj Ismail (2013)
19. Thus we need to know and appreciate the “Seerah” (Life History)
of Prophet Muhammad s.a.w.
Traditionally, narrations of the Prophet’s life are frequently
taught, recited, composed, memorised, remembered and
appreciated.
Traditionally here, this was the ratio decidendi for the
commemoration of the Prophet Muhammad’s “ Mawlid ”.
All Rights Reserved© Zhulkeflee Hj Ismail (2013)
20. Yet, our approach to studying Seerah must be to become :
intimately acquainted with his nobility;
to acknowledge his stature;
his outstanding and exalted character (disposition);
the sacrifices through trials and tribulations;
his concern;
his legacy and contributions;
his family and companions;
his likes and dislikes; etc.

23. “Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah; and those who
are with him are strong against Unbelievers, (but)
compassionate amongst each other. Thou wilt see them
bow and prostrate themselves (in prayer) seeking Grace
from Allah and (His) Good Pleasure. On their faces are
their marks, (being) the traces of their prostration.”
(Qur’an: Fath: 48: 29)
25. “This is their similitude in the Torah; and their similitude
in the Gospel is: like a seed which sends forth its blade,
then makes it strong; it then becomes thick and it stands
on its own stem (filling) the sowers with wonder and
delight. As a result, it fills the Unbelievers with rage at
him. Allah has promised those among them who believe
and do righteous deeds Forgiveness and a great Reward.”

56. How have we regarded our life? Who do serve? In fact many
have become ‘enslaved’ (by others) without them realizing it.

statement “I bear witness ....”? Being a witness to what?

Have we really been one? Or are we promoting other
