Mr. Lorimer Explained to us what we had to do
and after he told us to go get a partner I went
to Emily. Her item for the experiment was a
carrot. Emily and I got a mashing bowl which
is also know as Mortar and Pestle. We cut our
foods in small pieces so that it was small and
easy to mash. After words we started mashing
our foods.

I then added 10 drops of Benedict’s solution to the test tube

I took one of the test tube containing the mashed sausages and Benedict’s
solution and put it in hot water

I left it for about 2 minutes and it was still blue

I left it in for another 4 minutes and it turned into a green blue colour

   blue green colour but
   it still told me that
   it contained glucose

I got filter papers and started rubbing my sausage on to it

After, I held the filter paper up to the light

if it was see through that would tell me that sausage have fat

                           It is quite obvious that the
                            sausage had fat but just to
                            make sure, I did this small
                          experiment and it did have fat
