2. INTRODUCTION
A flowchart is a picture of the separate steps of a
process in sequential order.
Example: Recruitment and selection process can be
shown by flowchart.
TYPES
There are mainly two types of flowcharts
1. Macro Flowchart 2. Micro Flowchart
Macro level flowchart captures the big picture/ bird view
of the process.
Micro flowchart captures on a part of Macro flowchart.
3. Used for creation of flowchart
Another types of Flowcharts are:
Liner Flowchart
Deployment Flowchart
Opportunity Flowchart
5. MARCO FLOWCHART Here is the bird view (Macro
Flowchart) of admission
process of Nirma University.
6. MICRO FLOWCHART
In each process, there are many sub-processes. This forms micro flow chart.
For Example: In oder to give CAT exam, candidate has to pass from three
micro processes.
9. LEARNINGS
From this task of Qimpro, we learned introduction,
creation, symbols and types of flowcharts.
Flowchart is a very effective tool by which problem
identifications becomes simple.
It is said that, ‘To identify problem is to 50% of the
solution!’. Thus, flowchart becomes very important tool.
We can break a complex process in different sub
processes. This will help us to concentrate directly on
specific problem.
It’s a easy process which saves cost and time of
managers in decision making.
