6. Types of Conjunction
There are basically three types of CONJUNCTION.
Coordinating Conjunctions.
Subordinating Conjunctions.
Correlative Conjunctions.

Main Examples of Coordinating Conjunction are For, And, Neither/Nor, But ,
Or, Yet, So.
We can learn it by learning one word as whole “FAN-BOYS”
She picked daffodils and sunflowers, which are usually yellow.
I want to go over my friends house but I had a lot of homework.
10. SUBORDINATING CONJUNCTION
The most common subordinating conjunctions are :
“ After ”, “Although ”, “ As ”, “ Because ”, “ Before ”, “ How ”, “ If ”, “ Once ”
“ Since ”, “ than ”, “ that ”, “ though ”, “ Till ”, “ Until ”, “ When ”, “ Where ”
, “ Whether ” & “ While”
11. EXAMPLE
If the paperwork is arrives on time, your cheque will be mailed on
tuesday.
Here , the subordinating conjunction “ IF “ introduces the clause is
dependent clause “ if the paper works arrives on time.”
12. Ali cried when his favorite car crashed.
The subordinating conjunction “ when ” introduces the dependent
clause “ when his car crashed. ”
EXAMPLE
14. CORRELATIVE CONJUNCTION
There are five different pairs of correlative conjunctions :
“ Either … Or ”, “ Not Only … But ”, “ Neither … Nor ”,
“ Both … And ”, “ Whether … Just as ”
15. EXAMPLES
a) You either do your works or prepare for a trip to the zoo.
b) Not only he is handsome, but our CR is also brilliant.
c) Neither the basketball team nor the football team is doing well.
d) Both the cross country team and the swimming team are doing well.
