2. The idea of my trailer was going to be a kidnapping
that happens in a dark alley, of a high profile figure
or one of their sons/ daughter. Similar to “Taken”.
However the high profile figure, named Steven,
knows who the kidnapper is and has been trying to
capture this criminal for the past 15 years of his
life. The kidnapper murdered his wife and wants
revenge for her murder. The kidnapper wants
revenge for family being deported back to Africa
and they get killed on the transport back. His rage
has been boiling over and has planned out how to
attack and get revenge for his family’s death.
3. The trailer would open up with Steven at
the hospital with his wife at the birth of his
son. This shot will show the family all
happy and entering a new chapter in their
lives. The scene quickly changes to the
antagonist and his family being arrested
for being here illegally, but the antagonist
managed to escape.
4. Scene 2 opens with Steven returning to
work, and authorizing the deportation of
the antagonists family and puts out an
arrest warrant for the arrest of the
antagonist. This scene only last for a few
seconds. This will build the plot for the
movie and then we see the equilibrium
start to be disrupted.
5. Scene 3 begins with the family of the
antagonist boarding the plane that is taking
them home. The plane is labelled “Air
Universal”, and is seen flying off into the
distance. We start to hear tense music
slowly fill the background in a quiet tone.
This scene again only goes on for a few
seconds.
6. Scene 4 is a shot of Steven’s office, we
pan to a picture of his wife and son. A
news flash pops on the television in the
background, stating that “Air Universal”
has been shot down and there was no
survivors. This shot would last for roughly
10 seconds.
7. Following Scene 4, a telephone call takes
place, we hear his wife scream in the
background. Then after a couple of
seconds, we hear one gun shot.
In the few seconds that followed we hear a
voice, talking to Steven blaming him for the
events that caused his family to die. Now
he knows how it is to lose family etc.
8. The scene begins with Steven talking to
his son, they are going on holiday the next
day. They have items packed and ready to
go. Steven is called into work for a few
hours, so Steven goes and walks the
family dog in the local woods.
9. This scene is where the son is abducted,
the lighting is dusk and turning to night
very quickly. The antagonist shoots the
dog dead, similar to how Steven’s wife was
killed 15 years ago. Then the son is
pushed down the path and falls over,
breaking his left leg in the process. The
son is then carried into a dark van and we
see the van drive off.
10. Scene 8 has a mixture of the police force
looking for the abducted son, mixing with
the phone call that Steven receives from
the antagonist. This montage
demonstrates the action based from the
police searching for the antagonist and the
slowed down pace of the film and this
allows for a climax at the end.
11. The final scene of the trailer concludes
with Steven and the antagonist facing off,
starring each other down in the middle of
the street at night, both armed with a gun.
The final shot is both positioning their guns
up then the scene ends and the title of the
film appears, along with a release date etc.
