4. My cover photo on my final magazine was taken with a professional
camera with the correct lighting, clothing and look. As opposed to
my preliminary work which was taken with a mediocre camera in
the wrong setting and the picture looks pixelated and unprofessional
whereas my final looks like a professional HD picture.
My masthead in my final magazine is bold with a solid cover
and somewhat iconic like GQ magazine etc.. Its memorable and
clear as opposed to my preliminary magazine which has a
boring font which color wise is not appealing and doesn't’t
stand out and looks somewhat amateurish.
My headline and cover story is relevant to the artist and only
gives an insight into the context, it all has the same color
scheme that goes well with the two tone background which
ads to the professionalism shown on this front cover.
However my preliminary task my have relevance to the cover
artist the color scheme doesn't’t blend well and it doesn't’t
make you want to read on , it also has a lack of information.
5. I have clearly stated page numbers with a headline giving brief
one worded information with more detail about what's
contained in those pages below. However in my preliminary task
the numbers don’t stand out and there is no other information
under the headline
In my final I have used two photographs of a different
artist to firstly attract a wider audience as it is another
well known artist and one of the stories (pg 20) links to
the artist. In my preliminary work I have only used one
photo but it has no connection to any stories and again
the photos look horrific.
In my final contents I have put the name of my magazine
at the top with the date at the bottom and addition
information including the magazines website so people
can visit it and in my preliminary I didn't’t have the
name of my magazine, I didn't’t have a date and I had no
additional information
