Check if the company is hiring: Linkedin jobs are expensive. So, if a company is posting on there, they are typically strong opportunities
If appropriate for your field, consider adding a video
Your linkedin URL: In edit mode, click on your linkedin url (internet address); in the middle of the page, on the right side, click on “Customize your public profile url”
--Try to get as close to your name as possible
Put keywords in your headline to help you get found
Turn OFF most linkedin Privacy settings so that you can be found on google
* Recommendations: You want a minimum of 5; ideally 10-15 would really move you up
