required to pass (out of 70 available) - 50%, 60 minutes duration, Closed book.
Practitioner
• Objective testing, 8 questions - 10 question items per question,
each worth one mark, 44 marks or more required to pass (out of 80 available)
- 55%. Two-and-a-half hours (150 minutes) duration, no additional reading time. Open book exam (official
PRINCE2 manual only).
Prof.
• 2 ½ day residential Assessment Centre. Group activities and exercises. Based on a fictional project case
study. Assessment is against 19 individual performance criteria (there is no written examination)

EMC teams with PMI to launch world-class talent development program for project managers
globally.
EMC, the world s leading developer and provider of information infrastructure technology and
solutions, used PMI s standards to create a professional development program that provided it
with a competitive advantage. The program has enabled EMC to deliver consistent, scalable
training to its project managers using a globally recognized framework and best practices to align
its field offices and headquarters.

• 

Marriott Bedding Program completes global bedding upgrade with certified project managers.
Marriott International, Inc. used a team of PMP®-certified project managers led by a program
manager out of Marriott s Lodging Program Management Office (PMO) to upgrade their bedding
across 10 Marriott lodging brands in two years. Utilizing several project management techniques,
the team completed the conversion of more than 628,000 beds and finished under budget.

• 

Procter & Gamble upgrades nearly 20-year-old software and work processes
Through successful risk management and the creation of technical and project management
office (PMO) teams in various regions, global consumer products company Procter & Gamble
upgraded a system that serves the heart of the company s US$84 billion business. The project,
which was a 2012 PMI Project of the Year Award Finalist, impacted a portfolio of 250,000 products
ranging from laundry detergent to pharmaceuticals to snacks.
