This document outlines a research study to examine the effect of information literacy tutorials on undergraduate students' information search skills. The study would use a quantitative experimental design with a treatment group receiving information literacy tutorials over 12 weeks and a control group receiving no treatment. Both groups would take a pre-test and post-test of information search skills, and their scores would be statistically analyzed to determine if the tutorials improved skills compared to the control group. If the tutorials are found to significantly improve skills, the university may require information literacy education.
