Inviting and Managing Students and Student Groups on Collaborize Classroom

2. If you haven’t signed up for a Collaborize Classroom site go to: www.CollaborizeClassroom.com Fill out the short registration form on the right side of the screen and begin Collaborizing! Publish a Collaborize Site www.CollaborizeClassroom.com
3. If you can’t remember your site name and would like to look it up by the email address you used to register, go to: www.CollaborizeClassroom.com Click the Login button in the upper right-hand corner and enter your email address. http://YOURSITE.democrasoft.com Login to Your Site Example: http://Collaborize101.democrasoft.com
4. You can either… Write Your Site URL on the Board http://YOURSITE.democrasoft.com.com Ask you students to copy the site URL Have them access the site Then click ‘Register Now’ Fill out the short registration form Approve student memberships 2 Ways to Get Students Online Send students to your site URL

Or… Invite Your Students by Email EMAIL Gather student emails (put into a .CSV file) Click ‘Invite Members’ from ‘Manage’ menu Upload the .CSV file Click ‘Send Invitations’ Students activate memberships from email What if my students don’t have email addresses? But wait… No Problem. With Gmail aliasing or “dummy” email accounts, you can register students easily!
7. Roll over the ‘Manage’ tab on the top navigation bar. Select ‘Members’ from the drop down menu Manage Members Access member management from the top navigation bar
12. View student groups.Manage Members Invite, message, promote, block or delete members and access reports

14. Manage Groups: View student groups with number of members; add or remove groups/members as needed. Group Functionality: Add or remove students; message a group or multiple groups. Create a New Group: Add from a list of all active students or search by student name. Manage Student Groups Organize students by group

Once Students have registered they will receive one of two emails confirming registration. You as the moderator will then have to approve them. Once they have been approved, they will receive a second email asking them to activate their membership.
