Art to help children grow and connect
Chapter 4
Painting and drawing with
pleasure
What you need to know about…
Captions and
signatures
2. This slideshow will explain the
principles you can follow for
including captions in your
works and for signing them.
We will see:
• Drawings which include
captions
• How to sign a work
6. The caption is part of the
painting The caption itself is a drawing and must be written by the child who did
the drawing. You can have fun with the letters and colors.
7. In a comic, the caption has to
fit into the painting.
11. Mistakes to avoid
Too big of a signature ruins the
understanding of a piece.
Here, the information ruins the
painting..
Last name, first name and age
suffice.
The name of the group and any
additional information are on the
back of the work.
If there are labels, they must fit
into the painting and the font
must be carefully chosen.
12. I’m Kevin and I painted this
painting.
I’m Josiane and I painted this
painting.
I’m Brigitte and I painted this
painting.
I present my work
Showing a work with your name means recognizing that you’re
the work’s creator.
13. Each one of us is unique
Every person has a name
by which they are
recognized by the people
around them.
14. Recognizing you
So that we can recognize you out of the 1500 children of
Constellation, write your first and last name, as well as your
age in smaller type.
On the back put your name and age
again, and the name of your group and country.
