2. In what way does your media product use, develop or
challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
I challenged the
conventions because
other pop magazines
that I have looked at
and researched
have loads of stories
on the front of the
magazine but I have
kept mine simple.
3. How does your media product represent particular social
groups?
As you can see my magazine is not
like any of these magazines but I
have took little bits from them for
inspiration. I have taken the idea
from both of them for having more
than one young person on the front
cover. I have done it this way so
then it will appeal to the younger
generation who like pop music and
pop artists. I have also taken the
idea of having bright colours so
then this magazine will catch
peoples eyes and therefore buy it
in shops.
4. What kind of media institution might distribute your media
product and why?
The type of institutions that might distribute my
magazine are supermarkets such as Tesco's and
possibly newsagents.
5. What would be the audience for your media product?
The audience my magazine will
appeal to are teenagers who
like pop music.
6. How did you attract/ address your audience?
• I addressed and attracted my audience
through a questionnaire were they gave
feedback on what they would like to see in a
music magazine.
7. What have you learnt about technologies from the process of
constructing this product?
•I have learnt how to use Photoshop
during this coursework.
•I have also used Powerpoint to my
advantage.
•I have learnt that after taking the
photos I have to make sure that it
can be cut out easily in Photoshop.
•I have learnt how to get effective
font off of www.dafont.com.
8. Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you
have learnt in the progression from it to the full progress?
•I have learnt how to add more colour
to my pages.
•I have learnt how to cut my pictures
out better.
•I have learnt how to make the most
of small space.
•I now know how to lay things out
better, so it looks better.
•I have learnt how to keep things
looking more professional for my
magazine.
