From Barbara Tillett’s presentation
“FRBR Model”, Feb. 2, 2004
Starting the day off with a little quiz....help: what was before AACR2? AACRSome earlier codes: Panizzi’s 91 rules, Cutter....ALA rules....
The top 3 are conceptual models. Very theoretical.RDA is an application of those models. Very big difference, then, between A2 and RDA.Though you’ll notice that both have as a foundation a statement of principles!
So, Vivaldi’s 4 seasons is a work
When it’s performed by the Philharmonia Baroque orchestra, that’s an expression of Vivaldi’s work
The CD of that performance published by Philharmonia Baroque Productions is a manifestation of that expression of the work.
And finally, the one in your library, with a barcode, is an item.
