In a collaborative relationship :
Quality is at
the heart of
teaching

completion.
Multiple and
contested
meanings.
Two faces of
quality –
learning to

detriment
of non-

outcomes.
Advance form of education
Why Focus on Quality?
Need to increase the
effectiveness of education and
training systems.
Need to reduce the observed
inequalities among various
categories of the population.
Growing diversity and complexity of
societies:
Migration,
Urbanization,
Cultural globalization, and
Greater access to expanding sources
and channels of transmission of
information, knowledge and values.

• Have shown marked improvement over the last decade.
Examinations systems:
Internal Examinations:
Most teachers limited capacity and skills for:

fair to all learners.
Unreliable or invalid instruments provideUnreliable or invalid instruments provide
inaccurate information .
Learners who may need additional assistanceLearners who may need additional assistance
may be overlooked .

conducted by bodies
outside the school to

a specific phase of
education .

Goal Remains a Challenge
1. Undeniable progress toward expanding access to
education
2. It has not been met by comparable progress in
improving education quality, which affect, to a large
extent, the most vulnerable individuals and groups.
Challenges to Face in FUTURE.

Quality
Learning

Learning
to do.
Learning
to live
together.
Learning
to be.
Solutions should be Must
Ensure that Education for All
(EFA) remains a priority on the
global agenda.
Support countries’ efforts to meet
the six EFA goals by 2015, with a
specific emphasis on equity.
• Sustainable development.
• Inclusion.
• Social cohesion and social justice.
• Life-long learning.
• Higher education and research.
Act beyond this :
Do not readily find solutions
for Students:
Identify even the simplest tasks as a
problem for them to solve .
Young children often get upset if they do
not immediately have a chair to sit in ,
can not find the crayon they want , or
accidently rip the paper they are working
on.
Critical Thinking in the Elementary Classroom :
Problems and Solutions
Solutions should be proposed
• Try to provide a wide variety of
materials and tools and give
very broad instructions.
Encourage
Creativity:
• Because so much critical
thinking at this age is done
aloud for the student’s brain
improvement.
Always seek
opportunities for
brainstorming :
Compare and
Contrast
anything and
everything :
This will help to a student to
look closely at details and to
think about the purpose and
significance of each one.
Thank You ALL
