People Strategy – Accelerate the delivery of Aviva’s Ambition from the inside out
Operate at greater pace, brilliantly execute the strategy, create a sustainable Aviva, ensure every colleague lives our values.
People Chief Operating Officer
Reporting to the Chief People Officer and a member of the People Leadership Team
Responsibilities include:-
• Facilitate the on going development and execution of the people strategy
• Create and sustain an environment where the strategic people initiatives thrive
• Own the People Technology Strategy
• Own and optimise the People functional budget
• Develop and apply leading edge, global people analytics and insights
• Lead existing and develop new people shared services that can be a adopted globally
• Maximise the outcomes and rhythm of senior Leadership meetings (e.g. the CEO Conference)
• Lead global people operations decision making.
Mindset needed to excel in this role:-
• Leadership – make good decisions, results orientated, ability to work with uncertainty and grow future leaders
• Agile – Foster and anticipate skills that respond to changing customer needs, enable our people to do brilliant
work in an inclusive environment. Navigate a complex, multi business line, global organisation.
• Enable Great Customer Outcomes – enable our people to engage with our purpose and connect their work with
the role we play in customers lives. Equip our people to disrupt, lead and transform the industry.
• Personal characteristics – resilient, deeply curious, results orientated, optimistic, risk aware and innovative

People Chief Operating Officer Reporting to the Chief People Officer and a member of the People Leadership Team Responsibilities include:- • Facilitate the on going development and execution of the people strategy • Create and sustain an environment where the strategic people initiatives thrive • Own the People Technology Strategy • Own and optimise the People functional budget • Develop and apply leading edge, global people analytics and insights • Lead existing and develop new people shared services that can be a adopted globally • Maximise the outcomes and rhythm of senior Leadership meetings (e.g. the CEO Conference) • Lead global people operations decision making. Mindset needed to excel in this role:- • Leadership – make good decisions, results orientated, ability to work with uncertainty and grow future leaders • Agile – Foster and anticipate skills that respond to changing customer needs, enable our people to do brilliant work in an inclusive environment.
