1. The Montréal Young Learners Programme is designed for high school
students aged 14 to 17 who wish to learn English and/or French.
2. The programme is held in the beautiful and completely bilingual city
of Montréal, Canada.

4. Every morning the students develop their accuracy in speaking,
listening, reading and writing.
5. Afternoon oral and communications skills workshops are designed to
encourage fluency and build confidence in speaking the language.
6. The late afternoon programme gives the students a chance to
participate in cultural and leisure activities which further enhance
their learning experience.
8. Evening activities include shopping, hiking the mountain, fireworks,
movie night, mini golf, arcades and the famous Montréal Biodome.

10. Students reside at the prestigious and historic Collège Jean-deBrébeuf, situated close to downtown Montréal and within walking
distance of ‘the Mountain’ and Mount-Royal Park, one of Montréal’s
largest green spaces.
11. Room suites are divided into two individual areas which include a
bed, basin, desk and closet. There are shared bathrooms on each
floor and the campus is secured by 24-hour security guard.
12. School facilities include a gym, basketball court, soccer field and
tennis court. The swimming pool is within walking distance. Also on
campus are: a student lounge, TV room, cafeteria, computer room,
library and free Wi-Fi over the whole campus.
13. OISE creates an environment that is safe and comfortable. Staff are
trained to maintain an exceptional level of supervision throughout
the course.
14. Learner’s receive 22.5 hours of classroom tuition per week. There is a
guaranteed maximum of 8 students per teacher.
15. Teachers are ESL or FLE qualified and trained in the supervision of
young people.
16. OISE aims to extend learning into every corner of the day, in and out
of class.
