                              Chapter 1
Juron looked down at his freshly repainted armour and admired the
brilliant white, the trademark colour of the Luna Wolves.
He was on board the Red Tear, Sanguinius’ flagship, travelling through the
warp. It had only been a month since that treacherous battle on Isstvan III
but he had already developed a hatred for most of his former friends, they
all followed the Warmaster.
Juron was sure he would have died if it hadn’t been for the Blood Angels.
They were on a routine scouting mission when they noticed that there was
no vox-chatter from the planet. They came in closer and realised that the
planet had been virus bombed, they were brave enough to land and explore
the planet. It was fate that brought them to the Choral City, they scouted
around for a bit and then they found, under a pile of rubble from a
collapsed bunker, Juron, and in various other places other surviving Sons
of Horus, although they had now repainted their armour and retaken the
name the ‘Luna Wolves’. The apothecaries aboard the scouting ship had
helped them cling onto life until they got back to the Red Tear.
So now Juron sat there awaiting the moment when they arrived at Terra.
The ship started to jolt as if there was turbulence, but the ship’s stabilisers
should have counteracted this.
The ship’s inter-vox system started up, “There appears to be a violent warp
storm. Would all personnel please prepare for emergency warp exit.”
This was not good, but Juron supposed that they had been lucky to get this
far with the Warmaster having all but total control over the warp.
Juron looked out of the window of his makeshift chamber and saw the
dazzling colours of the warp stop and the normal blackness of space
reappear. It took him a few seconds to realise where they were. He was
sure that the entire Blood Angels fleet felt the same sense of terror as he
did. He knew the planet that they were approaching, everybody aboard that
ship did. It was Murder.

                                Chapter 2
The battle between the Megarachnid and the Space Marines had been
fierce. The Blood Angels had been the first to discover Murder and the
entirety of the fleet sent down from the Misericord had been wiped out
leaving only a repeated help signal with the captain reporting what was
happening over a period of days. The final thing he said on that recording
gave that planet its name, “This. World. Is. Murder.”
The Luna Wolves and the Emperor's Children came to their aid to late but
still fought a violent war with the Megarachnid, giant eight-legged insects
mainly, but some flew or were towering building machines. But it was not
the Megarachnid that Juron feared, but the Interex.
The Interex were part of the human race that left Terra to colonise the
galaxy. They had also fought the Megarachnid but decided not to wipe
them out but to place them on a prison world with no form of space
transportation. The Interex had also formed an alliance with a simian
species called the Kinebrach who brought with them dangerous weapons
such as the Anathame which had wounded the Warmaster and caused him
to turn against the Emperor. Juron almost completely blamed the Interex
and Kinebrach for this treachery, even if Erebus had stolen the Anathame.
The Blood Angels did not know of the Interex and Sanguinius had to be
warned about them and the threat they posed.
Juron raced along the corridor, as he rounded the corner he saw that the
blast doors were locked. There was an army officer guarding the door.
“What is the meaning of this?” demanded Juron, “I have to warn
Sanguinius about a serious xenos threat!”
“I'm afraid that Sanguinius is all too aware of this.” stated the officer.
“What do you mean?” asked Juron
“A ship, claiming to belong to something named the Interex, has landed in
the docking bay and they have opened fire on our troops.” replied the
officer.
“Damn!” exclaimed Juron, “But I still need to see Sanguinius and warn
him about the weapons they possess.”
“I have orders not to let anyone past this point.” stated the officer in an
official voice.
“Well I'm issuing you new orders.” Juron argued, “Or are you disobeying a
senior officer?”
“No, sir” said the soldier trying to hide his fear. He quickly opened the
blast door and Juron continued his sprint down the halls of the Red Tear.

                              Chapter 3

Sanguinius stood on his balcony watching the battle taking place below.
His Blood Angels had held the Interex back and had not let them escape
the docking bay, but they had powerful weapons, they might have looked
like ceremonial bows but in reality they were frightening laser weapons.
The Interex were heavily outnumbered and were slowly being pushed
back, it would only take another half hour of fighting before they were
wiped out.
Sanguinius returned to his desk and went back to the thought that he was
desperately trying to block out, what evil forces could turn the brother he
trusted most into a man who was determined to overthrow the Emperor?
Sanguinius was distracted from his thought pattern as the vox system in his
desk started up.
"Sorry to bother you sir, but captain Juron of the Luna Wolves says he has
to see you urgently.”
"Can't it wait?" Sanguinius replied, "I'm very busy.”
"Apparently not sir." came the reply.
"Send him in then." Sanguinius said reluctantly.
"Yes sir.”
The door opened and there stood Juron, clad in his gleaming white armour.
“Come in, come in and tell me what it is that's bothering you so much that
you need to disturb me in the middle of a battle.” Sanguinius said
monotonously.
“Well, sir, that's what it's about,” said Juron, “these people you're fighting
possess very powerful weapons.”
“I know that!” snapped Sanguinius, “Those blasted bows are knocking a
chunk out of my legion!”
“Yes, but they have worse than that.” stated Juron.
“Such as?” asked Sanguinius, intrigued now.
“The Anathame that wounded the Warmaster.” Juron replied. Sanguinius
paused, you would have to know him very well to see the worry in his
eyes.
“Understood,” he said, “you may leave now.”
“That's not all I have to say,” continued Juron, “the Interex could become
our ally.”
“That is completely out of the question!” Sanguinius snapped, “They
obviously have a hatred of the Imperium and will open fire on any of our
troops.”
“No, I have fought the Interex before,” Juron replied, “it's not a hatred of
the Imperium that they have, it's a hatred of the Warmaster.”
“I think I can see what you're getting at with this,” said Sanguinius
thoughtfully, “but what about our casualties? The Interex must be
punished!”
“It was a misunderstanding.” Juron protested.
“You wouldn't say that if it was your legion!” snapped Sanguinius.
“If I can even be counted as being in a legion anymore,” Juron said slowly
as to not get angry, “and if it were up to me, I would have every last one of
them shot.”
“Yes,” said Sanguinius realising what he had said, “I used a poor choice of
words, sorry. But I cannot work with people who have slaughtered so
many of my Blood Angels!”
“That's understandable sir, but when the Interex learn that we are not
fighting for the Warmaster I am sure that they will compensate for your
loss.” Juron said slowly so as not to anger the primarch.
“I am sure that they will but I've got Raldoron out there, he's to valuable to
lose!” said Sanguinius sounding very upset, “Even your friends, Banthor,
Dermon and Narkon are out there fighting!”
“I know sir,” said Juron, “and as soon as I leave I can assure you that my
Luna Wolves will be joining the fight, that is until you can bring peace.”
“Four Luna Wolves to replace well over a hundred Blood Angels,”
Sanguinius said sarcastically, “I know your legion had a good reputation
but you can't possibly hope to make a difference.”
“Then you'd better start peacemaking sir.” Juron said enthusiastically.
I don't even know where to start,” began Sanguinius, but Juron was already
gone, sprinting down the corridor once again.
