2. What is a UBIT?
 Under Bridge Inspection Truck (UBIT)
 This vehicle is capable of articulating in a variety of positions
to accommodate and facilitate both Inspection and
Maintenance.
 No outriggers are required while bucket is deployed (Counter
weights)
 Truck is still mobile and free to move while bucket is deployed.

 State Bridge Inspectors
will require the UBIT for a
total of 86 bridge
inspections throughout
the state of Idaho this
year. At times multiple
bridges can be completed
in one day, while others
require days to complete,
or more than a days drive
to get to.

 Your Forman will
create the work order
based on the Activity
being performed.
M151-M159 supporting
bridge maintenance, or
M419 in support of
inspection.
 There should be a work
order to cover M420
for all of your Traffic
Control functions for
Maintenance, and
Inspection.

 120v outlet in platform and at deck
 12V LED floodlights (2) in platform
 Video system including 3 cameras, installed on T2, facing
down, B3, facing platform and at rear of truck. Monitor
installed in cab.

 (2) LED boom lights, for nighttime operation, installed
on B1 and B2.

10. 3 days training in Boise, ID
 Aspen Aerial will be providing a 3 day training class
on the basics of operation for the B-32 UBIT. There
will be limited seats for all the district to provide 1
maybe 2 TTOs to be trained on basic operations.
 Provided the District can provide an Operator,
approved by the BAME, the District will have the
option of independent use of the B-32 for
maintenance activities for extended periods.
 (Provided B-32 is not employed by Bridge Asset Management)

Review the UBIT calendar and find dates that
are open, or in your Area. We may have some
flexibility to meet District Maintenance needs.

the UBIT for maintenance or

Once you request it, your not stuck
with it. We are flexible on getting
the UBIT where you need it to
support State and Local Assets.
