Have participants write on post-it notes what they think innovation is
3D construction challenge
Can either collaborate or work alone on construction
Participants write on post-it notes the characteristics of an innovator
Give participants a foam or paper cup with hole in bottom. They have write as many problems they see in the community. They look into the cup through the hole and say what they can see.
Give each group a flipchart sheet and they have to write the 3 most common problems everyone in the group wrote on the foam or paper cup.
Participants turn their cups around and look through it again
Now the students look at the problem and say how much of the word they can see
If the participants were super heroes. How would they look at the problems and come up with solutions
How many of their problems they wrote down within their groups were actually global problems
How many participants actually mentioned poverty?
How many participants actually mentioned health?
How many participants actually mentioned education?
How many participants actually mentioned finance?
How many participants actually mentioned infrastructure?
What do you need to bear in mind when innovating for the world?
Groups present back their solutions
