YDF was established in 1999, by the Royal command of His Majesty the 4 th, King Jigme Singye Wangchuck, to meet the needs of young people. Since then, under the leadership of Her Majesty the Queen Mother, Ashi Tshering Pem Wangchuck, we have been able to touch the lives of many young people in Bhutan.

Young Volunteers in Action (Y-VIA) brings together over 750 youth from all over the country who share a common dream of making the nation proud. They are productive and make significant differences in their community. They are the future and they are learning by doing…
