5. Project 1
Hi everyone! I’m giving you your first
ever project for CNC. For this
project, you are to form a group of 2
and produce a graphical timeline and
journal for the culture and civilization
of your respective countries.
Wish you all the luck!
6. So, my partner in crime for this project is Shu Yin! :D
Cynthia
Shu Yin
And the country we are assigned to is Cambodia.
24. Teamwork
I learnt to be able to work
together in a group as a pair
whereby we have to meet up
during our free times to discuss
the project. We also divide work
equally so that we do not feel
any heavy burden.
25. Understanding
I learnt to understand even
more on the culture and
civilisation of Cambodia. I
also learnt the history of
Cambodia before it is
formed as a independent
country.
26.
27. Project 2
Class, let’s do a runway show for your
respective countries!
Also, you have to make an interior
model to showcase your
understanding for the country!
Good luck, everyone!
50. Persistency
I learnt to be persistent because in this
project, if you are not persistent enough, you
will fall behind everyone and might not be able
to catch up.
51. Consistency
I researched, analysed and built this
project consistently for a month or
so. I did not give up no matter
what, eventhough there might be
some situations where I am
demotivated.
52. Time Management
I learnt to manage my daily and weekly schedule
properly when doing this project. This is because I
need to balance my social and working life. Thus, I
have equal amount of time for working and socializing.
Yay!
53. Patience
I learnt to be more patient than ever
while doing this project. This is because
there were many mistakes done by
myself when I was cutting the brown
board such as cutting the wrong
length, cutting slantly and etc. When I
have done a mistake, I would have to
redo the work all over again and that is
when I train my conscious mind to be
patient.
54.
55. Project 3
So, finally your last project. You guys are
required to do a postcard series with a
unique packaging for it. You have to
come up with a theme and concept for
your postcards. Also, you can take the
pictures anywhere you want!
So, all the best to you all!
56. I decided on the theme
and concept of “Façade
Shophouses” as
encouraged by Ms Ida, so I
went about in Kuching and
Pasar Seni in search for the
perfect shophouse to snap
a picture. :D
57. So here’s my postcard series and
its packaging!
65. Editing Skills
I have improved my editing skills by
learning how to use Adobe
Photoshop. To make the postcards to
have the effect that I want, I editted
the contrast, brightness, saturation
and shadows of each picture. Thus my
editing skills have drastically
improved.
66. Photography Skills
My photography skills have improved as well
when doing this project. I learnt to take
pictures of the shophouses using façade
photography, which is in fact a new thing for
me to learn. Through this project I
experienced a unique photography skill
which I will appreciate.
