Common adjectives include handsome, bright red, lovely, funny, neat, high, big, and cool. Adjectives can also be compound, proper, articles, or indefinite. Other parts of speech like nouns can sometimes function as adjectives, such as "campus library" and "speed limit." There are five main types of adjectives.
